Wire had some of the coolest lyrics Ya tulip, ya pea-brained earwig Ya punk, ya silver tongued snake I'd rather make furniture Than go to midnight mass

Well, there's Zappa's "Civilization Phaze III", the last work he completed before he died. It's kind of a sequel to Lumpy Gravy and contains more dialogue and stuff from those sessions.

You might also be interested in "The Faust Tapes" , an album by Faust that employs the same collage-type scheme. Not much spoken word, but lots and lots of cool noise.

Anyone know of some albums that are similar to Lumpy Gravy, spesificly the spoken word bits.
We're Only In It For The Money which Frank ask if it is phaze 2 of Lumpy Gravy.
Civilization Phaze III is the sequel to Lumpy Gravy (or Phaze III....)
Lather has a lot of spoken-word stuff. Most of them cannot be found on the related albums like Studio Tan, Sleep Dirt, etc... But a couple of them made it to Sheik YerBouti
The Lost Episodes has a lot of dialogue pieces
Uncle Meat has some spoken word stuff.
Frank Zappa Meets The Mothers of Prevention has a little bit of dialogue from the Lumpy Gravy sessions.
You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore Vol. 1 has a good amount of dialogue bits. I can't recall how much is on the other volumes.
Easy Meat from Tinseltown Rebellion has a very quick segment of quiet dialogue in the middle of the song.
Of course, there's bits and pieces of dialogue throughout his entire discography.

Zoot Allures is a really good album
To me it's very much a middle of the road Zappa album for me. The new reissue sounds a lot better, so I appreciate it more, but it's always been an album where most of the songs featured are better on other albums (like Disco Boy, Torture Never Stops, Find Her Finer, etc...) There are better Zappa albums (but ZA is not the worst).
