im with you here, I think KE9 is overrated as a tune and ELP as a whole, I just  don't get the attraction to this band I mean the musicians are good I just find the music tedious and soulless I don't even like lakes singing with KC and I'm a fan!

- Yes' CTTE is an ugly patchwork of so-so songs that the musicians thought to make it better by sticking them together.
 - King Crimson can't even record ONE song. I mean, you can't seriously call their pieces of noise "songs"?
 - Jethro Tull was a mediocre blues band and, all of a sudden, they tried to write progressive songs. And they failed.
- ELP's best songs are on Pictures At An Exhibition.
 - Genesis? Don't hurt yourselves: go listen to the Beatles instead.
- VdGG don't produce songs: their tracks are nothing but the soundtrack to Hammill's owl vocals.

I can understand someone feeling that way about 21st Century Schizoid Man or Larks' Tongues In Aspic, but I'm not sure how one could possibly conflate I Talk To The Wind, Cadence And Cascade, Lady of The Dancing Water, Song of The Gulls, Islands, Book of Saturdays or Exiles as noise...
when i was a kid a doller was worth ten dollers - now a doller couldnt even buy you fifty cents

Get him to listen to some musique concrete or japanoise and he'll be begging for the tight, focused songwriting of Moonchild or Providence

Most is rubbish. Beatles are nursery GENESIS and "Moonchild" is all they could possibly dream of not only vocally. Greg Lake is one of the best vocalists in Rock. "Starless" and its crushing beauty is totally beyond their wildest dreams. Their stopped to perform for audiences already in 1966, I read. How stupid is that. They became a joke. And Martin Lancelot Barre can play the electric guitar and Ian Anderson plays both the acoustic guitar ans the flute brilliantly, he also sings well in his younger days (grin). Beatles never learned to play guitar solos, did they ?

CttE is very overrated, and I partly agree with that. My 7th or so fav Yes album btw.

Is there even anyone who takes this song seriously?
I think it's fun; that's probably as high a rating as it gets.

A very nice song, and brings very happy memories for me Heart
She was such a lovely girl, but how can I forget her...

As you've already written more than enough to both make a complete fool of yourself and made sure never to to be taken seriously again - there's really no need.

I know some people may kill me for this...., but Camel is EXTREMELY BORING!, really, i can't get a count on how many times i tried to listen to the debut,Mirage, Snow Gnose and fall asleep, for me, the most interesting is the debut from these three.
And other thing, yeah, i really like Hemispheres, 2112, Moving Pictures and some of their early works, but for me, the best album by them is Permanent Waves, and yes, it's not so progressive like Hemispheres or Farewell to the Kings and it can even be a little chessy(everything turns chessy with Lee's singing, oh god, i hate this man voice), but musically, it's the one that i like the most.

ABBA and the Bee Gees.

And ELO (who is superior to ELP).

Actually, not so much.
In fact, I do that trolling thing only when I'm really, really angry, trigerred, irritated and ready to yell funny names to people writing "unpopular opinions" about "overrated songs".
For a few days, I've read some declarations which baffle me and make me wonder if the whole forum isn't polluted with trolls more subtle than I. Since I can't and don't feel like going berserk about musical tastes discussions, I try to shut my big mouth and not say depreciative answers filled with uncouth words. But, as I still need to release some steam before I explode, I try to do it by trolling (and in a really poor way).

Maybe I should show my true colours, but it would be the colours of a True Prog Fondamentalist saying to the forumites: "Thou shalt not speak bad about Yes, King Crimson, Genesis, ELP and the other Great Sacred Names of Progressive Rock or be ready to be stoned!"
