I know, I was going to watch but after a while of rain delay I just went out to eat.
And came home to see it cancelled.

Wasn't last weeks race rain delayed??

3. B. Senna winning the Sat race at the GP2 with fine races by Di Grassi & Jimenez.

Brazil has, and still does, produce many good drivers. Just like Finland! Approve

Yep, some other countries without tradition in developing race car technology has produced great drivers: Austria, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Belgium.

Italy, a great developer of race cars and auto technology in general, is owing a really great champion in modern times. The same could be applied to Japan, although in terms of tradition they lose to the Italians.

Yeah i am also impatient for that race, sure it will be very interesting, nice week end for you Guigo, actually i have never been a fan of neither Castro Neves and Tony Kanaan, but they are great drivers anyway.

Actually, Australia is a bit like America in that its motorsport is pretty much self-contained, the V8 Supercars are almost treated as a religion, you either pray to Ford or Holden.LOL Plus theirs "Black" Jack Brabham and Alan Jones.

I missed the GP2 race yesterday (and this morning), but its good to see Senna doing well.

Congrats to Massa on another pole/fastest lap/win.
Also Kubica for his 4th place finish, and Takuma Sato Shocked manages to get a point! Clap

Oh, and Hamilton who now leads the championshp.
After 4 races....the driver situation is NOT what I thought it would be, for sure.

R.  WURZ         Williams      +62 laps

Fastest lap: MASSA  1m22.680s (lap 14)

Great races from Coulthard and Sato, certainly my drivers of the day. Interesting stat, in the lower formulas Lewis Hamilton has never lost at Monaco, wining the F3 Monaco support race in 05 and dominating the GP2 race their last year (won by about 40 seconds despite a saftey car), I reckon he'll win there in two weeks.

Getting his first win at Monaco would be a hell of a way to do it.

It would, but I think its his best chance so far and the McLaren looks like it would suit Monaco better than the Ferrari.

True.

And anyone else a little surprised about Kimi and Fernando, SO FAR, being outpaced by their younger teammates?

I'll be happily surprised if the championship decision goes between Massa & Hamilton... well, let's wait.

Would be pretty wild, and I really don't think it's out of the question.

I am. I was expecting Alonso to start the year with a definite gap in pace between himselfe and Hamilton, as you would expect from the reigning champ and a rookie who possesies all the halmarks of becoming the new mesiahLOL.

As for Raikkonen, its not quite as big a surprise. He's well known for not being as concerned with the technical side of the sport (though he has, apparantly, surprised the Ferrari mechanics on just how fast he does pick up on details and takes in information), and Massa is more entrenched in the team.

I think the biggest difference for theis two is that the Bridgestones are very different form the Michelins. Both Kimi and Alonso have spent their entire careers in F1 working on Michelins (well, they both spent there debut year on BS) and honing their skills to work with the intracacies and querks of the French rubber, and are now having to un-learn those techniques as well as pick up new ones.

I agree, I cant think of the last time when the top teams had both of their drivers fighting for wins every time and fighting for the title. Will get very exciting me thinks.

I'm pretty impressed with Kubica so far. He seems to be a pretty decent driver.
In fact, BMW Sauber in general seems to be fairly good.
Again, I'm surprised.

I thought you guys might like to see this, the proposed rules start off interesting and get progresively worse, I dont think I like them.
