Trying to learn to play your own music smoothly sucks at times.

No, trying to learn to play the track I'm writing so well that I can record it well enough Wink I'm not that much of a guitarist, this part is pretty difficult to get right even though I simplified it.

Studio work advise... If you are more than half an hour trying... the best is to quit and come back in an hour so your fingers are more relaxed... the most important thing on recording is try to stay fresh and calm... so... maybe you have to take a little break... I thought you were a guitarrist... which you play mainly then...??? keys...???

I play drums almost exclusively nowadays, I grab a guitar or bass now and then and keys pretty much only when recording.  95% drums I'd say. Which reminds me, I haven't done any drumming today, now is a good time for that Smile

That's great then... I understand now... I just play keyboards and guitars... and sometimes bass but drums is not for me... I have not much abilitie in coordination of arms and legs... enjoy your drumming...

Lot of girls being born - my wife told me she wants one.  Ermm

Wow, PtS is not 5... no no no.  Maybe just a 4 but ultimately a 3.5.

Especially the 20+ minute track.  Mmmm.

Mind you, seeing them live and having a signed copy of Radion Futura is complete pwnage.  Having said that... where did I put it? Shocked

Artists signing copies of the albums they promote during their tours is long no more a novelty, nor pwnage material.

It is.  Upsilon Acrux don't usually do the signing albums thing.  There wasn't even much "white space" on the cover to sign.

I actually had to ask them to sign the booklet.  They looked quite surprised by my request.

Also, I'm likely one of the few UK citizens (perhaps the only one) to have a signed copy.

Today was pretty nice. I listened to Part the Second and Midnight Mushrumps back to back, and then my instructor was 20 mins. late, so only 7 people stuck around. He didn't make us turn in homework, and pretty much taught what he wanted for the rest of class. He spent a considerably long amount of time on .9 repeating = 1. And then we got out early without any homework. Cool

For me that's the rare kind KC song that never really worked that well live... Of course the studio version is the best song in the world, so it's kinda hard to top that.

No, trying to learn to play the track I'm writing so well that I can record it well enough Wink I'm not that much of a guitarist, this part is pretty difficult to get right even though I simplified it.

Pisses me off man...

I can play a part perfectly ten times in a row as practice, and as soon as I hit that record button, my fingers turn to mush.  Ouch

I was already thinking of pulling a Kansas and releasing a "Best of" compilation for the holidays.  Big smile
