This was an incredibly dissapointing album and one stars is almost
generous. If
your looking for a long rambling incoherant mess this is the place to
come. It
occasionally does good things but these are seldom and just draw
attention to how
tiresome the rest of it is.

Also aome of the instruments they use
sound rather bad. The greatest example of this
is the nasty keyboard noise which pierces your ears then starts grating
with abandon.
I am sure this same sound was used on Caravan's Nine Feet Underground
which this
whole album is reminiscent of. Both are over long and rambling. Nine
Feet Underground
manages to destroy the rest of the album which is great this has nothing
to destroy
other than itself as its all bad.

So in conclusion. Awful, such a
bad album i am tempted to give it away. Actually a
chore to listen to. 1 star.

It isn't a very good review, but not bad enough to remove, please take further discussions to the reviews discussion thread, thanks.

mdelval has given Peter Gabriel's latest a 2 star rating, although PG's official site lists the release date as the 15th of February.

http://www.progarchives.com/album-reviews.asp?id=27023

Edit:
There's also a 3 star rating from someone.

Well, some samples should be out by far, but that does not justify it, does it ?

Recently, I've read one prog-reviewer saying in first paragraph of his review that: Yeah, it is leaked version.

There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

Puts progarchives members in 3 categories, describes them using a very offensive word.

dang. just about to report that one. Forget the offensive word, the ignorance is enough to be called out on its own.

Even if some ideas are not so wrong, I afraid the form is not very clever of pleasant.

From #263728:

"ProgArchives, from what I can tell, seems to be mainly divided into three main camps of users. The first of these are progressive metalfags, who go fap fap for anything overtly technical. Coincidentally, these people are also overtly boring & stupid. Go figure!

The second of these groups are the Morse-fags, who eat up anything Transatlantic or Neal Morse or the AOR bands that inspired him such as Kansas did even though the songwriting and lyrics are godawful and the playing either laughable or simply uninspired. No matter how much wine these people have, they just can't get enough cheese. Again, boring insipid music for equally boring and insipid people.

And last but not least, there are the neo-proggies who worship mid 90's Pendragon and Steve Hogarth-era Marillion. Again, mentally handicapped kids who wouldn't know a good song if it bit them on the ass."

He may be being facetious rather than serious but it doesn't read well, comes off as offensive.

I'm not sure if I get what you mean by double posted reviews, does he do reviews under more than one site name?

But what if the album is Trimvirat's Russian Roulette or Calling  All Stations by Genesis?

I dunno I don't usually comment on reviews but that Missing Piece review by colobar isn't that inspired. His Giant For a Day isn't that much better. Just seems like he wanted to slam both albums. I compared them to mine and I actually found something redeeming on each one . I dunno.

Appreciate the heads up Ian, but this thread is for reporting reviews that are in blatant disregard of PA policy. Short reviews with an ax to grind are more or less OK, ha ha.

Somepin's wrong here... Can't actually figure out what, though. I think he is accidentally reviewing the wrong album. Maybe.

Umm... does something seem a bit unnecessary about this review?
