Thanks, it's history toast.

Re the new In the Court, it has a lot of different material on it, seems like it deserves it's own album entry. I know we have similar entries in the Miles discog.

^ The official PA policy is very strict - no duplicates. Any new entry must be based on the release of new, original music. The guy should have asked for the re-release info to be added at the original ITCOTCK page, but he most likely doesn't know the policy.

I posted pretty much this exactly in the Duplicated Entries thread earlier today.

It's not really an abusive reviews issue as such.

Re the addition, i tend to go along with Easy (no relation) Money's view. The new release has something like 5 CDs and a DVD. I therefore see it as a new package bearing the same name, rather than an expanded re-master. On the other had, on checking the track list there's very little in the way of new material as such, so I'm open to persuasion....

I thought the policy was carved in stone, not at all flexible...

I was too lazy to make a propert report (for duplication), so I reported here because it was easy to spot the review on the top of the homepage (at that time).

Problem is, as soon as something is cast in stone, something else comes along which negates it!LOL

There are instances of albums by the same band having the same title but justifying separate listings, The Beatles have at least one. I guess the question is, is this one simply an expanded re-master, or a new compliation with the same name?

There are some songs on there that may be important to the KC fanatic (me) let me look at it further and see how much material on there has never been released before and we will make a decison.

For what it's worth, I think they should be separate entries.  They are both by a long shot two distinct products, really.  Just my two cents.

Quote Bridge Across Forever Limited Edition
Transatlantic Symphonic Prog

Review by EVE123

5 stars this album is a masterpiece through and through!!!!....transatlantic music bring out the BEST in EACH members song writing ability, their technical ability, and their ability to just simply make classic music without a single second of time wasted within any given song.....the first track is the definition of what GOOD progressive music is...its not mindless oddtime signatures and soling..there is a true natural purpose behind every note they play....there music is beautiful, epic, heavy, technical, challenging, passionate and very proggy, so to say:p....transatlantic is the only reason i even began to listen to prog and i became a memeber of this site just to give these guys some recognition...sure there are lots of other prog bands i love, but im too lazy to review them all....these guys r worht every bit of time and energy!!!....suite charlotte pike is very catchy and beatly but still very prog, bridge across forver is unbelievable, it hits my emotions so deep, its so moody and heart felt...i love the lyrics...and the last epic is AMAZING......once you have given this song a good 3 or 4 listens u will find yourself humming the melodies and the different musical themes...its a nice blend of good heart fekt singing epic, technical prog, even some metal!!! and it provides the perfect epic ending any good good album deserves!!!

this album deserves 5 stars just because of the first disc, the bonus disc is somewhat not essential

This person posted this same review, word for word, for a different Transantlantic disc...and then posted another review on 2 other different discs.  Rated them all 5/5 of course.

The person seems quite enthusiastic. I´m sure it´s just someone who misunderstood the guidelines.

Yep, 5 Transatlantic reviews one after another, all 5 stars, and all reviews are not too much different. All symptomes of fanboyism?

Thanks guys I'll check it out.

P.S. there's something bogus going on here, but I can't prove it yet. So far the reviews are barely within our guidelines, but common sense tells you there is something wrong with this picture. Maybe we will get lucky and some unwitting fanboy will drop off the source of this nonsense, it's happened before.

This review seems to spend more time talking about "Nine Feet Underground" than the album(Third) that they are reviewing.

Also aome of the instruments they use sound rather bad. The greatest example of this is the nasty keyboard noise which pierces your ears then starts grating with abandon. I am sure this same sound was used on Caravan's Nine Feet Underground which this whole album is reminiscent of. Both are over long and rambling. Nine Feet Underground manages to destroy the rest of the album which is great this has nothing to destroy other than itself as its all bad.

So in conclusion. Awful, such a bad album i am tempted to give it away. Actually a chore to listen to. 1 star.

Unfortunately, not bad enough. So even it's very stupid reasoning, the one we all are trying to avoid in our review, this review will probably stay, as it's not offensive, provides some info (very little, but it does) and so.

Don't take me bad, I don't like it, if I should be free to say my opinion.

There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

This is the thing I always avoid doing in my negative reviews... Demolishing an album, and telling people to 'save their money'. This is not professional at all, and reflects very badly on the author of the review (even if they are professional journalists). The thing is, you can rip an album to shreds without treating it as a sort of weapon of mass destruction, though it's not easy to do. Easier to destroy than to build...
