I used to have this as an LP, not sure if it survived the flood:

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I've had that for a year yet I've never felt compelled to listen. Is it worth my time?

Haha, well, I do sort of dig the Boomtown Rats (an album, a comp and a DVD) but I had no idea what the deal was with solo Geldof.

I'll check it out right after I finish with...

You'll have to let me know what you think of it. Also, which Boomtown Rats album have you got? I would say A Tonic For The Troops is probably my favorite by them, although admittedly, I actually haven't heard two of their albums yet. XD

Currently on "The Song of the Emergent Nationalist." So far I'm enjoying this record. Great textures and timbres throughout. It's almost zydeco-like at times.

As for the Rats, I have A Tonic for the Troops, a 1986 comp and the Live at Hammersmith DVD. I love the energy on that last one.

My only copy of this was an LP and a CD copy I had made.  It was released on CD briefly, glad to see it back and print and I ordered it right away:

Akkerman, Collins, Hackett, Wetton, and others.  Way cool!!!Big smile  And the music is likely to be a winner with most prog fans.  An obscure gem of an album.

Now this is interesting: his first instrument according to the liner notes was a banjo. LOL
