The new Tangent album has a whole lot of unpleasant stuff going on with the reviews. Looks like a lot of dummy accounts set up to give it 5 stars

I agree, I got rid of a couple multiple accounts yesterday. I'll go through there sometime soon and see if I can find more. Most of the written reviews seem more or less legit though. |

I think Rune2000's rating algorhythm was already discussed but I can't remember what was said. He just gave ** for a couple of Zeppelin albums, though stating at the end of his reviews that his rating are of about 3.4

^ please PM Rune and ask him about his algorithmic ratings method, it makes sense when you see what he is doing.

http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=256283. Those comments about Poland and Portugal. Iīm not sure but are they not a bit discriminating/ offensive? Iīm assuming that it is this case he is refering to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disappearance_of_Madeleine_McCann and if thatīs the case itīs a quite distasteful comment about the Portugese people.

http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=258434 this one comments a bit too much on another reviewers review of the album and could be perceived as an insult IMO.

He says: This is a fine album, now, please make yourself a favor and ignore the pastiche review by the "expert" gooner in fact the mention of the word along with all the influences gooner mentions on his review tells you the opposite Simply put, the worst review ever to appear in this site and one that does not help the band. And the PA review guidelines say: The following are examples of phrases which should NOT appear in reviews: "Reviewer Joe Smith is stupid for saying that...", "Anyone who doesn't like this album is an idiot", "The band which made this album is rubbish", etc., Seems like a violation to me. More than anything, he reviews the other review. |

This review should probably be removed asn it is from a band member and does not really review the album but promote a new album

Thanks, I'll send him a PM and see if he can improve it. We do allow band members to write reviews of their albums. At least he is upfront and honest about it. |

More than anything, he reviews the other review. ...which is funny, because I really went in depth on this review(unlike my others). Must've been my Porcupine Tree comment(a scorned fan...I dunno!) ...and sonicexplorer also cherry-picked a part of my review where I'd mentioned those bands as "inspiration" not "sounding like". Oh well. People have opinions.

Somebody just added the remastered ITCOTCK as a different album in order to review it as such.

"Music is much like f**king, but some composers can't climax and others climax too often, leaving themselves and the listener jaded and spent."
