The new Tangent album has a whole lot of unpleasant stuff going on with the reviews. Looks like a lot of dummy accounts set up to give it 5 stars

I agree, I got rid of a couple multiple accounts yesterday. I'll go through there sometime soon and see if I can find more. Most of the written reviews seem more or less legit though.

^ please PM Rune and ask him about his algorithmic ratings method, it makes sense when you see what he is doing.

^ the comments will be edited out, racial stereotypes are conveniant for the mentally lazy.

Simply put, the worst review ever to appear in this site and one that does not help the band.

And the PA review guidelines say: The following are examples of phrases which should NOT appear in reviews: "Reviewer Joe Smith is stupid for saying that...", "Anyone who doesn't like this album is an idiot", "The band which made this album is rubbish", etc.,

Seems like a violation to me. More than anything, he reviews the other review.

Thanks, I'll send him a PM and see if he can improve it. We do allow band members to write reviews of their albums. At least he is upfront and honest about it.

...which is funny, because I really went in depth on this review(unlike my others). Must've been my Porcupine Tree comment(a scorned fan...I dunno!)

...and sonicexplorer also cherry-picked a part of my review where I'd mentioned those bands as "inspiration" not "sounding like". Oh well. People have opinions.
