Still, it's not a practice that I really like.

That's the issue in my opinion, and yes I know it's been done various times, but if I remember well it's been stated that it wasn't permitted or it was simply wrong.

I may have misunderstood, though, if so I'm sorry Bonnek.

There's nothing wrong with that!!!

We are complaining about dumb reviews, inappropriate reviews, too short reviews, should we start complaining about quantities and time of posting? Sorry Pablo, but in my opinion everyone is free to post a review whenever (she) likes, as many as desired.

I would rather see a front page full of series of reviews than a few messy unrelated ones - because if someone is doing a sequels, they're most likely having a degree of quality. They can be chronological, thematic...for example, I love the ZowieZiggy's series of Led Zeppelin reviews!

I had an idea a while ago of writing around 20 reviews in Word (writing reviews in text editor is actually encouraged, because a direct submit might freeze), and then pasting them all in separate browser tabs and posting them all in the almost Evil Smilesame time...but first of all, I never had patience to accumulate 20 reviews (5 was my limit), and second, ProgArchives engine won't aloud you to post reviews simultaneously, or in a span of a few seconds...I guess because of bots protection. The minimum limit is sixty seconds.

Here is a review I found that says absolutely nothing about the music...it reads like it belongs in one of the God/no God threads.  Confused

^ thanks Rob, it's weird, but basically he is trying to break down the album song by song with an emphasis on the 'spiritual message' in each song.

Please carry further discussions about this review in reviews discussions. Tanks.

The keyboard can be quite musical and intuiging in parts but mainly its crap. The solos in Zenith sound like someone has got a recording of jimmy page playing guitar with all his fingers broken and through 27 fuzz pedals. PLEASE DONT BUY THIS ALBUM, it'll only push him to make a new album which its only purpose will be for his pupils to laugh at. In real life Simon Railton looks like quigon jin off star wars with receding hair, which quite frankly is hillarious in conjuction with his pony tail.Anyway, if you ever meet him go up to him......look him in the eye ......shake your head in dissaproval.....and shout.....STOP BEING GAY!!

Yeah, I just bumped into that same review. I've no idea who Railton is or what kind of music he plays, but the review is in incredibly bad taste!

Well, up until the personal attack I'd say the review was pretty accurate. I fought to get Railton into the archives because he's certifiable prog - not because I think he's good at it *chuckles*

Shouldn't this be a "rating only"?

Seems to be a joke, it's only a rating but it's among reviews

5 stars ... (read more)

Did you notice the "..." after the stars? Maybe that's why it counts as a review.

If you look at the review permalink, I don't see any ellipsis in the review.

yeah, usually it would be automatically classified that way, I'm not sure what happened here and I don't know how to change it. Kind of strange that it coincides with another 5 star for the same album, probably look into this more later.

Ok, both of those reviews and different site names are from the same IP, so something will be thrown overboard soon.

John, I would look at the user name..."stevenhack," plus the fact that this person only joined today.  Seems rather suspicious to me.

^ that is the work of the infamous "Colombian", until we have the ability to make all ratings dissapear when a member is banned, this guy will be hard to deal with. You might want to try sendibng this list to Bob via PM, sometimes he has the time and inclination to deal with this stuff.
