Half of the time in this review is spent on attacking reviewers and apparently Neal Morse's fans. However, when he talks about the album he is writing a review about, he does the job well and I understand that Blomljud is a very good album.

Also noticed, also was surprised (but honestly, people tend to offend others, so not so surprised) by his behaviour. OK, it's not my opinion and I don't like bashing 1 stars here and there (because ADHD certainly isn't for collectors only, is it?), but this is not the way. Offending others in this way is clear breaking of rules. |

This guy rated all 9 Transatlantic releases with 5 stars. For three of their albums he has written a review, but apart from how fantastic the band is, how great the music sounds and how amazing the melodies are I can't get much information on the album out of them.

He's a bit overly enthusiastic, sure. I'd say just send him a PM and kindly discuss the highly biased nature of his voting. That's more or less what most new people do when they first start rating: pick a band they love and rate their stuff pretty highly. Nothing awful about that, just needs some fine tuning. And since now anyone can fix their reviews, his should mellow out a bit.

I thought you were referring to one of the few single reviews I've done. I think by including single gives more opportunity to examine individual tracks in more detail particularily if they vary from the album version. If the latter is the case then chances are that hey have been added on an anthology or as a bonus track ion a re-issue. When someone does something like this and by chance the artist sees it becomes obvious that the site isn't taking their work seriously. There's criticism and there's just plain slandering nonsense. If you think the artists don't read us I just got a PM just this morning from a member of one of the bands, Dies Irae, whose bio I wrote for PA a while back. |
