The song is kind of space / drone. I'll definitely listen to the full album when it's released.
You're right about the video.

^ It will be released in a month and a presentation tour next May, I hope there will be a concert near me. They always sound better live
A nice mostly electronic day: Sequentonal - Beaches of Mars Lightwave - Cantus Umbrarum (Michael, I think you would dig this if it wasn't for the spoken parts, in French ) Kitaro - Ten Kai Organisation - Tone Float Kraftwerk - Die Mensch-Maschine (Sometimes I find this boring, sometimes it's cool, this time it was the later.) |

Finally got to do some proper listening - the past week has been tough.
Black Moth Super Rainbow - Start a People Ohhhh, the kingdom of the late 70's synths. There is that typical sound of, for example, Roland synths from the end of the decade that is distinctive to Moogs, ARPs and such. Love this stuff. Playful and kind of nostalgic of times that never were. Splendid music. Xhol Caravan - Electrip Another great album for a Saturday morning chill. This is really inventive for 1969 - not similar musically, but rather in the context of where the band is taking the music, to Soft Machine's Volume Two. The saxophone especially is so amazing here. Excellent! Throbbing Gristle - D.O.A.: The Third and Final Report James, you were right - this album is fabulous. I can't say if I like it more than The Second Annual Report, but it's amazing nonetheless. I'm fascinated by sonic landscapes they paint here. "E-Coli" is probably my favorite Throbbing Gristle track at the moment. Thanks for making me return to this one! Galactic Explorers - Epitath for Venus Regardless of whether this was actually made in 1972 or is another one of the albums recorded in the 90's in the UK, this is a masterpiece. I really dig those dark cosmic atmospheres. Beautiful music. John Coltrane - Live at Village Vanguard A short, but sweet live album from my favorite John Coltrane era. At this point his music is both very musical as well as forward-thinking. The version of "My Favorite Things" here is killer. Very enjoyable. Wolfgang Dauner - Changes Here, Wolfgang Dauner only plays his piano and synth... with stunning results! Beautiful compositions, very well arranged for these two instruments. The delivery is very emotional. Recommended! Zoviet France - :Garista: I have to admit this is my first Zoviet France album. It's interesting but it's not as great as I expected it to be based on what is said about the band and also the little bits I have heard somewhere. It's good enough to get me interested, though. Will have to check out more. |

Los Jaivas - Cancion Del Sur - The second album from these guys that I've heard, and, like Alturas De Machu Picchu, quite good. This one is definitely a lot more symphonic, especially the title track, but those Andean folk influences are still there. I think I actually like this one more than Alturas, and it's definitely intriguing enough that I plan to explore more of the band's discography. I had a few reservations at the start just because of the vocals, but by side two I was really into it, and the acoustic closing track is absolute beauty. Mad Fellaz - Mad Fellaz - Mad Fellaz II was one of my 2016 picks, so I figured it would be worthwhile to go back to the debut, too. I must say, it certainly was! These guys are a formidable instrumental ensemble, impeccably weaving together all sorts of chaotic craziness and elegant extravagance. Very Joe Satriani-like at times, but overall there's a far more diverse sonic range and more intricate compositions. Awesome stuff! Metamorfosi - Inferno - I've got that Italian momentum going, so why stop? This was a first time listen for me, and another mighty fine one, I must add. In addition to all the typical pastoral Italian romance and all that good stuff, this is a keyboard lover's paradise! Such a great variety of vintage prog keys sounds on here. Hatfield & The North - The Rotters' Club - The next entry in the first time listen marathon. I think I much prefer this one to the self-titled debut. Whereas that one was a more straight forward Canterburian jazz album, I feel that this one has a lot more variety, while still nailing the same sound as the debut. Sinclair's lovely vocals are always a plus, too! Dedalus - Dedalus - Time to break the streak with one that I have heard before. Not that I'm breaking the streak of quality; this is a darn good jazz-based record. |

Other than a bit of ambient stuff earlier on, just one today on my short drive around on a warm sunny day:
HARMONIUM - Si On Avait Besoin D'Une Cinquième Saison - such a lovely album, although it's shocking how much it often sounds like that Celeste `Principe di un Giorno' album, which admittedly came a year later! |
