Many groups in this site aren't Progressive but if you insrt other groups not prog you are stupid!

Hmmmm....
I think both bands have somewhat prog elements implemented into their music, but alas, SOAD is nu-metal, and if you were to classify metallica as prog, you'd have to classify every other metal band too. Ya know?

This is insanity!
Metallica is my 2nd favourite band of all time, but as other people have said, if you're gonna add Metallica you may as well add every other band out there.
Metallica are not prog!
Whatever everyone says about them influencing prog metal etc doesn't make them prog. It's been said a million times over that they were a THRASH METAL band. Changing some tempos and having complex structures etc doesn't make them prog.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't add Metallica or System Of A Down. I would have very serious doubts about this place if Metallica were added as a "prog" band.

Or
Prog Archives (Now with Real Hunks of Metal!)

I have no problem with adding them, personally, but it was all a joke. Max already told us:

Duh. I knew it the second I saw the thread.
Good joke though...but I really wouldn't mind them being added. As I said, I don't care who's added. It makes no difference to me, as long as real prog is here. Now if we took Yes off and added Britney Spears, I'd have a problem. But even if we did add Spears, I wouldn't mind, as long as Yes and the other prog bands're still here. Doesn't matter to me.
