Why should the poles be the only ones entitled to an opinion?

Because it doesn't matter who you vote for in Poland, you always end up with the same old sh*t.

This way one can remain impartial and avoid witch hunts, Reed Lover.

I agree with those who states to be leftish in social issues and rightish in economical matters. Sadly, in my country is the exact opposite to that. Just to let you people know, the congress pass a law that prescribes jail for who that exprimes an opinion that can be considerer offensive to any public political figure. And we also have an anti-freedoom of speech on radio an TV law.
Please forgive me for my crappy english!

Not meaning to re-start on our previous disagreement but you actually think your country's economy is leftist?

Well it continually increases spending on Public Services. In terms of British Socialism, that is still on-message,at least!ConfusedI dont see taxation being reduced for the very rich, just less draconian more pragmatic levels being maintained.Big smile

Hi Reed

I forgot to quote Mirco regarding his Venezuela statement.

For internal matters on the European Commission issues , I propose to see next month if we can set-up an agenda for the following three years to see when discussions about the the discussion of the side issues can take place. Say the 32nd of feb. 2065?????

Not right now, but it is becoming, if you consider the tremendous ingerence of the state in the economic activities. Just one example: our principal resource, petroleum, if (bad) managed by the state. The state also has a chain of food stores and controls the buy & sell of major quantities of goods. Yes, I think were are going towards a state capitalism.

I will make that a date Sean. The right wing governments will have added 4 days to every month so as to get more work out of us and have 48 more trading days per year, by then.Although I will be 83 yrs old and senile,I doubt you will notice any difference in my posts!LOL

But Reed ,

you are right this new agreement being voted is mainly economic and not social, It could be disastrous for John Doe and Howard Hughes admirers will laugh all the way to the bank. If once the UK can use their veto correctly , it could be now!!! Against its own Commissioner Kinnock.

Actually, his main job/goal is managing to threaten the EEC. I forget what was the previous other British commissioner's name . He had done an outstanding job and was voted top commissioner after Karel Van Miert .

I'm a communist,

Central issues;

Freedom for Everyone (freewill, Free speach, free choice, free traffic, freedom of religion. all free)

equality of life, both intellectualy as economicly

(for those that don't know: Sovjet Union and eastern Europe before the fall of the wall, was Fascism, it had nothing to do with communism, same goes for all dictatorships, Communism knows no ruling class, all men together are supposed to be in charge of the direction, so in the end communism is also very much about democracy) Though communism is mostly an Utopian philosophy, and probably not possible to achieve in real life. I believe in it.

Maybe one day ... until then I'll be dancing out with the moonlight knight ...
"Death to Utopia! Death to faith! Death to love! Death to hope?" thunders the 20th century. "Surrender, you pathetic dreamer.”

"No" replies the unhumbled optimist "You are only the present."

Embittered old lefty here. Not totally dogmatic about it, though, I believe in public ownership of utilities and essential services but industry and commerce should be left private (but not unregulated).

I believe that there is no reason why any human being on the surface of the planet should not have access to food, clothing, housing, medical treatment and education, and that if any of our alleged leaders are serious about the 'wars' on terrorism, drugs and crime then tackling poverty (absolute poverty to start with) should be the number 1 priority and this will not be achieved by military action. So there.

'Like so many of you
I've got my doubts about how much to contribute
to the already rich among us...'
