Hey Asuma you should check out The Villians. A great ska band. As a matter of fact, the most energetic ska band I have ever seen, and I have seen one, . Seriously, they are a great band. They do a killer cover of Wolly Bully.

My favorite non-prog band has to be Led Zeppelin. They are the only band other than Rush that I can honestly say I like ALL their songs. No other band comes close to my love of Led Zeppelin or Rush.

As a matter of fact, I read somewhere that Rush came out as a "led zeppelin-oriented" band.

There aren't any piccy's of Stars of the Lid that I can find, so this will have to suffice.

I read that too. If you listen to their debut album, you can definitely hear Zeppelin's influence.

Right now I'm taken a closer look to the Doors. I find pretty interesting the sound of the electric piano, if I'm not wrong it was defined as pshicodelic in it's times.

Tom Waits, The Police, Cream, Black Sabbath, Kraftwerk, K-OS (Hey anyone gutsy enough to label themselves as progressive rap has my respect), The Beatles, REM, Alice Cooper, some Bowie, Nirvanva, Zepplin, and it goes on and on and on.
