What album is the hardest for you to listen to, not because it is bad but because the music is overly bizarre or complex.  I would definetly have to say some Zappa and Beefheart but the one band that I found the hardest to listen to was Sleepytime Gorilla Museum.  Not really prog, but there is also a Lou Reed album of just distortion which I found painful to listen to.

Most anything with Mike Patton.  Particularly Mr. Bungle.  Even Fantomas is even easier to listen to than Mr. Bungle.  crazy.  just nuts.

That Klaus Schulze kind of electronic droning for minutes on end crap.  I don't care how "atmospheric" it is.

King Crimson - Earthbound

Not because of the music as such but because of the poor recording quality reminiscent of not so good bootlegs. Very grating on the ears

Feel like I'm a broken record lately...but a lot of the "RIO" genre bands are "hard to listen to."  Thinking Plague, 5uus, U Totem, Henry Cow, and The Art Bears come to mind.

If you want specifics Thinking Plague's latest I remember buying about a year ago and was totally spacing out listening to it...I've become more accustomed to their music since so it shouldn't be as "bad" as last time...but there's my recommendation.

Captian Beefheart- Trout Mask Repilca

O boy

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive

"The Final Cut" is one of the most enjoyable PINK FLOYD albums for me.

MAGMA is delicious! There was not a single MAGMA album so far that has not truly impressed me! I find all Canterbury/RIO hard to listen to ... and yes ... Klaus Schulze and his followers -- especially when the music is just not going anywhere.

Oh, and I have a special dislike for "Scenes from Memory ..." I can't listen to it at all -- I simply get disgusted with the lyrics and stop the sound. Although all the rest of DT albums are highly enjoyable. Even "Train of Thought".

And then I find it hard to listen to Savior Machine (not that I am going to listen to it for the second time): I despise religion and the band is a bunch of Christian fanatics praising Mr Jesus in their songs ... Besides, their music is really dull -- I would fall asleep listening to them if their constant mentioning of the J. word did not wake me up from my doze every couple of minutes.
