They're three of my Sophisti-Pop favourites too, although I have a feeling most of my votes will be going to the lovely Rumer. Heart

Hmm, I don’t think I’m much of a fan of sophisti-pop then😂Scritti Politti were ok☺️ Actually I did like Go West for a while too!

Not even Bryan Ferry? I currently have 26 Sophisti-Pop artists listed, so I'll have to drop one of the names from the list before I do a poll. It looks like Wet Wet Wet will have to go, which I'm not too sorry about. Tongue

You're absolutely right! It's getting progressively harder to come up with new prog polls that haven't already been done several times before, so I'm having to branch out into other genres of music, such as Sophisti-Pop for instance. Smile

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Don't worry, I'll be back on Monday with the 10th Arena Rock poll, but it's nice to be missed. Hug

Thanks. They may have passed like ships in the night through the British singles charts, but I'll keep them in, especially bearing in mind I have all five of Be Bop Deluxe's albums in a super deluxe box set. Big smile

I wouldn't dispute that. I only included Be Bop Deluxe because they were listed as Glam Rock on Wikipedia. Smile

I've since dropped Dio from the Deepest Purple listings and replaced him with Bernie Marsden. Thumbs Up

I'll make an exception for Sparks and Suzi Quatro, seeing as they were both very much part of the British Glam Rock scene. Thumbs Up
