Which one sounds more like Pendragon?

The Tangent by far. I had the first Karfagen album but the second one was a bit too much like lift music for me.

I love a sprinkling of Marshmallow Moondust from Antony Kalugin, and The Tangent made me look at music from a new angle, but I still haven't got around to listening to a full album by Karfagen. They'll just have to join A Place in the Queue. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

presumably because Roine Stolte was still involved? After that it became much more about Tillison. I voted The Tangent mainly because of the lyrics of Andy Tillison. His musings on Brexit are particularly interesting. The last album is quite remarkable for the fact that he wrote, performed and produced the whole damn thing. Never happened before that way. I enjoy Karfagen a lot as well. Like The Tangent this is a much more relaxed version of prog. The modern prog thing is to go heavy or 'retro'. Neither of these artists do this. It's all well written and well played but will never satisfy the 'it's got be edgy and angular' brigade who see prog as some sort of obstacle course that has to be negotiated. I quite like the limousine ride myself!
