Attention Fans of Musical Niches!  July went on so long, that it's still July!

It’s that time again! Ten artists from almost as many genres will appear on my "Nickie's Niches," segment on Chuck Simons’ “Top 10” show, airing tomorrow morning, July 30th.  The show begins at 8AM PST, on Progrock.com

The show includes mini-reviews and a tune from each of my Bandcamp and other purchases from last month.  Focus is on a wide variety of music, with an emphasis on chamber prog, ambient, world, soundtrack, psych, and acid/wyrd/dark folk, most with a progressive twist.

There will a podcast available on progrock afterwards, if it’s at an inconvenient time for a live listen.  To join the chat, go to progrock.com and click on Chat link at top of page.

Following my segment will be Dennis’ Time Machine ~ 1974 Part One

Greetings, everyone.  July is so long, it's actually going to continue on in to August!

The station had several technical problems this morning, so we are going to do it all over again next week, on Tuesday, August 6th, at 10AM PT.  We did have to cut the show short, so please tune in again, and all should go much as it is meant to be this time around.

I will be posting more reminders when we get close, so keep your earses open.

Attention Fans of Musical Niches!

From the Department of Prog Folk Notifications Department, this just in.

Take a trip to London and find yourself in the 1960's!

"Nickie's Niches," will be presenting a Prog Folk show (No 9) as a guest offering on Chuck Simons’ “Top 10” show, tomorrow, September 10th, from 8:00 AM - 10 AM PT, on Progrock.com.

This show is continuing the discussion on the advent of Psychedelic music, and how it influenced Prog Folk in it's own time, and to this day (at least in my opinion). Seven (and 7 Is) artists are represented in this show.
It lasts approximately an hour, and begins at the start of the hour.  The show is entitled "When Folk Dropped Acid," and this time takes a look at what was happening in London, congruent with the San Francisco scene.

Following my segment, Dennis Gaylor will be Ranking the Albums of Simon Phillips Protocol.

There will a podcast available on progrock afterwards, if it’s at an inconvenient time for a live listen.  To join the chat, go to progrock.com and click on Chat link at top of page.
