I don't drink or do drugs, but I imagine OK Computer, Lark's Tongues in Aspic, and Miles in the Sky, Bitches Brew, or In a Silent Way by Miles Davis would be great selections for that, as they make me feel as stoned as the people playing the music . . .

You think so?

I have a great job, a fantastic wife, a beautiful daughter, own my house - which is fully computer networked - and drive a cool car.

I don't feel like a loser in the slightest little bit.

Anyway - pot, kettle, black - YOU are a drug user. If you really want to deny it, then stop breathing.

They are not losers.....they just do not know any better.

This also goes to all alchoul drinkers. Drinking has done more damage to people, and families then any other drugs....you all need to wise up. Im only saying this becouse it is true nad becouse I care.

No offense friend...the only thing you have that is great is your family( materialism means nothing, it is vanity) You should be an example to your children. As a father I feel that it is my responsibilty to show my child what is right and wrong...good and evil....through my actions. I am not judging you( that is not my job) I am not a perfict person myself and I am very sure you are a great father yourslf but understand that what you are doing is not good nor right.

I feel it is right, and I also feel it is not right for you to make judgements on other people.

As I said, you are also a drug-user, whether you consider it so or not. Your body is one big chemical reaction.

I do not consider my wife or child to be material things - although you could consider them that way if you were pedantic enough.

There is some good in everything - to paint anything as completely bad is to not understand it.

Why do people feel the need to do drugs anyway? Can't one just get that satisfaction out of life instead of tripping through it?

I don't understand it and I never will.

um ... would chocolate count as a drug? It contains small quantities of anadamine which is related to cannabis so (in theory) if you consumed enough you would get stoned (and fat). It also contains theobromine which has amphetaminic properties.  It is also supposed to be an aphrodisiac due to  two particular substances, Phenylethylamin and Serotonin, both of which serve as anti-depressants.  This causes a rapid mood change, a rise in blood pressure, increasing the heart rate and inducing those feelings of well being, bordering on euphoria usually associated with being in love ... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah

So, accompanied to the music of PFM's   Chocolate Kings ... I would begin by sniffing the chocolate wrapper and carefully collecting any particles of choclolate dust therein .Then I would drop a few tabs of  Lindt 80% Cocoa  (it is very pure - uncut with any additives or emulsifiers) probably listening to The Land Of Chocolate's  Unikorn on the Cob ...  then I would be so relaxed  I could  even find a surge of passion for Phil Collins  ...

research shows theat women seem to be more susceptible to the effects of chocolate ... I'm not so sure ...

  chocolate

I was never really sure what I was waiting for. When the moment came I was looking away ......

Maybe we should start organize a festival: PAD (Prog Against Drugs).

Well, I'm with the non-users obviously  .

interesting suggestions Oliverstoned

krautrock is the best for that! next to the Berlin electronic scene (The Cosmic jokers...) acid folk (Emma Myldenberger, Witthuser & westrupp, Kalakacra...)

Friend you have misunderstood me......first of all by materialism I ment your car, house, etc...what i meant by that is that the only thing that matters and that one should be happy for is there family. By saying that all do drugs becouse there body is one big chemical reaction is a naturalistic fallacy. There is only good in that which is pure, holy, and rightess. I never judged you becouse it is not my position to judge becouse i myself am inperfect.
