Wow, that sounds like Garbage.

The band.

I quite like this, though I kind of tired of the sound about 20 years ago.

Now I feel old.

thought the same thing--

very few female rock singers who hold my interest---but who knows--I've always liked Alex's guitar work.

Alex mentioned that the vocalist Maiah Wynne was his muse in the creation of the songs. Ethereal, melodic voice (also brunette, black eyed, you know, the whole package).

Pretty cool, I think. Curious to hear what the rest of the album is like. I hope he mixes it up a bit and it is not all the same.
The world of sound is certainly capable of infinite variety and, were our sense developed, of infinite extensions. -- George Santayana, "The Sense of Beauty"

I liked it, I agree that in the context of a full album it should sounds even better.

Lifeson showing he could make an album where he just didn’t give a flying fornication, and made the music he wanted to, and have fun doing it. I suspect this might be more of the same (even if it sounds completely different), and will probably (like Victor) alienate and annoy many Rush fans. Which means, I will probably like it. 😜🤪

Victor is great. It goes in several different directions and each one is unexpected. Fun record

Based on what I've heard so far it doesn't sound like my cup of tea.

I'm still holding out for new Geddy/Alex music
