The Strawbs Grave New World
Front cover is an ' etching' by William Blake
very nice three panels gatefold , the booklet is very classy also ( sepia inks and drawings on a white creamish thick paper)
just look at :

Hi,

Amon Duul 2 - Dance of the Lemmings ... that inside painting is far out!
Amon Duul 2 - Wolf City ... the LP was a fold out cover. The inside was neat too!

Not sure I ever bought an album for the cover at all ... but if so, HAWKWIND's original package for Space Ritual is probably the one I wish I had not gotten rid of ... that LP holder (2 of them) was neat.
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

J. Geils Band “Monkey Island”, because the used copy I bought still had some weed in the gatefold.

Somebody should make a book that showcases all of those classic vinyl gatefolds.

I'd buy one! Although my collection is mostly on CD, there's no denying that the vinyl experience as far as cover art goes is unparalleled.

Well, not Gatefold specific, but I do have these in my collection.
