The "vs." here can mean anything you like.

You can make them fight each other.

You can compare and contrast their charismas.

Or if you're a sissy,

You can wait for Santa Claus till Christmas.

I preferred Freddie Krueger (Robert England) when he was in "V" - a science fiction series  about a genocidal invading alien race known as the "Visitors", who were reptiles disguised as human beings. I believe it's one of arch-conspiracy-theorist David Icke's favourite shows. LOL

Both are well developed interdimentional demons whom can bring pain but with widely different motives. While Freddy is a tru antagonist in the Elm Street series, Pinhead is more of a chaotic nuetral, neither good nor evil an enigmatic character whose side is more motivated by other forces than good vs evil, its rather the urge to offer pleasure vs pain.

This is a great take, I'll give you that. But I think the cenobite Pinhead's alignment is neutral evil, as far as the D&D terminology goes. Neutral evil characters are really intriguing. Lawful evils are cunning but not that bold, chaotic evils are generally rather blatant and uninteresting... But if they (chaotic evils) want to reach "high levels", it is imperative that they have to be really powerful and/or have some really powerful allies.. They always reveal that they are "evil" and thus, they are the targets of "good" characters.

Yet, this is just a D&D based take. Otherwise, I can agree that his alignment is chaotic neutral.

^ It is a mess... For all of us (I think)... Rachmaninoff, Rahmaninov; Patrik, Patrick... I admire people who are not confused in such things...

We have a Turkish name Bünyamin. I think its foreign variant is Benjamin...

I have fun while trying to make sense of such things... Even some confusions like this are amusing for me.

The Leviathan is the true evil forice in Hellraiser -universe, i wonder if ever Stephen King and Clive Barker ever have plotted that they float in a shared universe, as Pennywise and Leviathan are sort of similar enteties.

Voted both.

I think first films of both were excellent, sequels much less so.

Pinhead. I could admit to owning all 3 series of the Hellraiser Neca action figures and Dr Channard and the Cenobites Lair boxset, but that would make me a Hellraiser geek - so I won't Wink

Interestingly, just yesterday I listened to the Hellraiser soundtrack. Pinhead for sure. The original Hellraiser is superb, and unlike many I also love the sequel (I'm that way with the Omen as well, unlike a great many)

Clap

I actually like the second Omen movie even better. Perhaps because it was my "first Omen". Wink

Would you enter a acupunctur therapy session run by 'Pinhead' where Pinhead is the acupunktur therapist.

Ironicly the creator of Pinhead Clive Barker is not to happy about the name Pinhead, he very reluctantly refers to it. But does not really cherish the fan/tv-magazibes coinage of this horror villain.

It's a pity the didn't use Coil's soundtrack in Hellraiser. Apparently cenobites' look was partly inspired by "men's magazines" Clive Barker saw while staying at Balance & Sleazy's house.

This brand new Cradle of Filth song is featuring Doug Bradley, aka Pinhead. As far as I remember, it's been a long time since they last collaborated.
