Note that there aren't enough spaces for the whole band name/song title in the poll spot. Full Song Title Is: “Barbie MILF Princess of the Twilight”

@dr Wu John Prine - Dear Abby Good melodic and acoustic song, Prine is a folkinsger between Dylan & Mcguinn. @Lewian Guilty synth-pop pleasure. (Quick shot also here... this band has been in an earlier poll already, with their probably most serious song, but they are more foolish normally. Here's what was their only charts hit, Foyer des Arts - "Wissenswertes ueber Erlangen" "All you need to know about Erlangen" (medium city close to Nuremberg). English lyrics are here: https://lyricstranslate.com/en/wissenswertes-%C3%BCber-erlangen-trivia-about-erlangen.html )

Amos Goldberg (professor of Genocide Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem): Yes, it's genocide. It's so difficult and painful to admit it, but we can no longer avoid this conclusion.

@Crane This was initially inspired by the then-new shuffle function on CD players, in order to make each listen a novel experience by interspersing normal length songs with mini songs. It has since taken on a life of its own as its own super-song. Daring song with a very coarse singing, continuous changes of almost prog rhythm, velvety and absolutely cheap melody. Candidate for the podium. @Icarium Supertramp Fool's Overture, and Marillion: ok, these are absolute masterpieces, I can't nominate them for the podium because it's too high quality! ;-) |

Absolute classic! Plus, the really wonderful thing....they really DID get on the cover! And it was a great rock & roll commentary!

But there's no synth whatsoever on that one... the most electronic thing on that track is the bass guitar. (The other one by Deichkind though...)

Hopefully the person who already "voted," is certain that is their choice (which certainly could be the case), I actually haven't opened the polls yet, since we've only got 2 choices up so far. A reminder to get your choices in, so we can officially open to voting.

I'm selecting Todd Snider's "Talkin' Seattle Grunge Rock Blues," for mine.
And yes, even if you just have one, it helps to clarify.

MY NOMINATION IS: Giorgio Gaber - The corrupt Man This is an ironic song about Italian masculinism. I recommend you read the translation: The corrupt man Maybe never like now Eroticism is winning But over time you realize that sex It is unimportant If it's not in tune with love It is a fleeting pleasure But I like that one there Oh yes I know very well that sex It has a certain function And it should serve more than anything else To procreation Oddly about this theory I agree with the Pope But that one turns me on Oh yes My life So sad, so passive, repetitive I almost always have a lump in my throat But the sight of a beautiful breast comforts me How corrupt I am She is a rather attractive woman I already said it Below, who knows what she feels below She looks innocent and clean And therefore she must be punished Perhaps never like now, wherever you turn There is a great invasion of nudes And vulgar stories Which contrasts with a reality So full of anguish But that one there, what a thigh My life It is full of many very boring things I also have a bit of melancholy But sometimes a nice ass is a good fun How corrupt I am I don't know who she is but it's a detail Not a flaw Maybe, maybe I'd say it's even better When she speaks She is a little too aggressive And therefore she must be punished I care about the human relationship But she must be punished I don't even know why But she must be punished I'm worse than a Taliban But she must be punished, punished, punished Punished. Sorry for having selected just one song, but I couldn't really think of anything else. So, my nomination will be "No Laughing in Heaven" by Gillan.

Very hard. Probably 10cc would be most popular, but also best known. I think I stick to Deichkind, "Richtig gutes Zeug"; curious whether they can bag a vote.

I'll go with "Me & Billy the Kid" from Joe Ely for my nomination.
I'll need a little humor, so this was a timely topic for me. My cat MaCavity (the one pictured in my icon) passed away today at 3 pm. My heart is hurting and I'll miss him for a long, long time.

Well done! Richting gutes Zeug is a contender for my podium! Ps about the synth-pop: the music of some band is classified as synth-pop even if the band didnt use synthesizers.
