A Shame. RIP.

Probably the only artist to do a stint in Crimson who regretted it to his dying days.

I got to know him a bit personally and always felt he was a tortured soul. I hope he rests peacefully.

The real reason is that Gordon had no creative input. He considered himself to be a good songwriter for prog as his solo album It Is And It Isn't proves. He also had royalty disputes with Fripp later on.

Yeah, I don't think he's listed here. I guess making one prog album with John Wetton on bass wasn't enough to get him included.

I'm listening to It Is.....very nice and mellow...has that British singer songwriter quirky thing....from the early 70's. I'll be ordering this one.

Nice. Very melodic stuff that kind of has a Moody's vibe.

RIP Gordon
Loved his singing on "Cadence and Cascade", even more so on "Cirkus".  I knew about his solo album but didn't know about the folkish Moodys vibe, will definitely seek it out.  Thank you Steve and Doc

So sad.
His voices are not my cup of tea but obviously he built KC foundation up in early 70s.

LOL

RIP Gordon, my favorite moment was your blood-curdling scream in "Cirkus!" at 1:28

Sad news. RIP Gordon.

He actually had a few minor hits in the UK later on if I'm not mistaken.
