I only heard it a few times but I can see it grow on me to that point. I thought Sheet Music was their debut. I'll give it another try, maybe I wasn't in the right mood.
I never got into the "shred" threads, it was too out there for me I've seen that name around a few times, the French titles always catch my attention. How's their music? Also this week: Høst - På Sterke Vinger (I'm glad I went back in time, I completely forgot about this killer album.)
Baumann/Koek - Baumann/Koek Queens of the Stone Age - Era Vulgaris Pure Reason Revolution - Eupnea Fren - Where Do You Want Ghosts to Reside Chromb! - Le Livre des Merveilles (First listen to this band and I very much liked them. It's not too odd for my taste and they make great use of dynamics.) |

Just a few spins to kick off the labour day longer weekend. :)
Foreigner— Head Games. (MFSL edition). Pretty cool album. A 1979 album that sounds like it came out in 1985. :) Savatage— Wake of Magellan. ( it always fails me to figure out why Savatage are as underrated as they are. They make great concept albums too! This one is no exception. :) Savatage— Poets & Madmen. — the last and final Savatage album and it is a really decent one. So glad Oliva’s vocals are back and the 10min epic Morphine Child is the bands greatest track on the album. Excellent listen. |

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

Phil Collins— Hello? I must be going... ( Audio Fidelity 24k gold cd edition .)
Faith No More— Angel Dust (MFSL 24k gold cd edition. ) This is the best hard rock/metal recording I have. The mastering and stereo imaging is nuts. I giggle like a school girl when I crank this on my headphones. ) Arena— The Cry ( beautiful era of Arena. Early 90’s is there best for me. ) The Smiths— The Queen is dead. ( Morrissey sings like a beast on this one. Love the album. ) Savatage— Dead Winter Dead. ( there best concept album. ) |

What do think of that Winstons album? I found it very tame compared to the debut and had a hard time listening to the whole thing. Last week: Goat - World Music
Jaga Jazzist - Starfire Sensible Soccers - Aurora Gong - Camembert Électrique Siouxsie & The Banshees - Hyaena Peixe:Avião - Peso Morto Carlos Paredes - Guitarra Portuguesa Godley & Creme - Freeze Frame Kevin Ayers - Joy of a Toy Ashra - Correlations Etron Fou Le Loublan - Batelages (Crazy stuff indeed, loved it :D) Korb - II Marillion - Misplaced Childhood Shylock - Île de Fièvre (Funny, I thought this album should be more talked about and this morning it has a review on the front page.) Bruford - One of a Kind (I really like the JR/F genre and I'm a big fan of Bill's playing but this album does nothing for me.) Serge Bringolf - Vision (Great 1981 album that sounds a lot like early Magma.) Terreno Baldio - Terreno Baldio Camembert - Schnörgl Attahk (Since I heard that Gong album, I remembered I didn't hear this band much.) |
