I didn't know any of the TV series with the selected themes except for Twin Peaks and Matador, so the field is mostly new to me. Consequently I have no idea of what to expect, so these are my spontaneous reactions:

Land of the Lost: Happy-go-lucky banjo music, earthquakes and Godzilla? The combination is almost grotesque, but judging by the clip it is meant to be just that. I assume we're in the comedy area here. Not really my taste though.

Daktari: And now for something completely different. Interesting rhythmic pattern, and I like the marimba.

Black Hand: New Trolls is at least a band I had heard of, but I knew very little of their music. I like what I hear (with dim chords you can't go all wrong after all).

Rote Erde: Irmin Schmidt I of course know from Can. The music is quite gloomy and omnious.

Twin Peaks: This I knew as previously mentioned. Hearing it again after all these years, I'm not sure if it's really my taste. There's a bit of new age about it which is generally not my thing.

BoJacks Theme: A horse sitting by a swimmingpool wearing a housecoat and shorts and drinking beer? "Hollywoo" in the background? I have no idea what this is about, but I quite like the music. Nice feeling.

It's odd, that one is still growing on me, despite the fact that when I voted, I thought I didn't care for the music as much as the fact that the word repetition stuck with me.  But progressive music is that way sometimes, it can sneak up and capture you when you least expect it.Smile

Nickie, what is the song that you proposed?

(I got lost, in this thread ... many comments, many videos, and little time on my part)
Amos Goldberg (professor of Genocide Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem): Yes, it's genocide. It's so difficult and painful to admit it, but we can no longer avoid this conclusion.

The premise is that BoJack is a self-loathing alcoholic former 90's sitcom star of the show "Horsin' Around," which is about a bachelor horse that adopts three kids and all the wackiness that comes about. Now, 20 years later he is trying for a comeback in his career, and the show is also about the people/animals around him. He exists in a world mixed with humans and anthropomorphic animals.

Clips of "Horsin' Around" appear within the show, including its opening:

Also surprised that no one brought this one, Suicide Is Painless, the M*A*S*H* tv theme.

I love a lot of British Comedy, particularly from the time I was in the UK and slightly before (my impression is that overall quality went quite a bit downhill from 2012 or so), but they have a habit of using pretty crappy music. One that did things a bit better was Green Wing, which by coincidence (?) is my favourite series. Listen to this:

By the way, are people ready for the next poll, the surprise one?

Also glad you like Boardwalk Empire.  If you get a chance, listen to the full version (I posted it on my original post for this thread).  It's quite interesting how it was adapted for the TV theme.

I do not have much time these days, barely listened to the songs, love the Rote Erde and gave it a vote.

I have added "Daktari" as the ringtone for my phone. Typed in "Daktari ringtone free" into a web search and several options came up to download.

That is just hilarious....I might have to do it, as well.  LOL  This is now the hallmark for a hit in a non-PA category for PA Pollsters?  LOL

Just finished Utopia, fortunately they toned down the gore Tongue What an incredible show in every aspect, but particularly the soundtrack is amazing. I was surprised to see that the use of 70's sounds were justified, there was also another great track with Farfisa. Such a shame it was cancelled.
