I have been surprised that more people here are not really into it or have been talking about it, but I think most here are into lighter fare with a more cheerful outlook (think Yes, while I'm more like "No"), more Utopian than dystopian perhaps. Being something of a pessimist and having scepticism that can veer too far into cynicism, it tends to appeal.

  I am a great fan of dark comedy, so may look into it.  Sometimes violence can bother me, though, if it seems gratuitous.  I actually enjoyed A Clockwork Orange because of the story it tells and how it makes you think (just as you are describing this Black Mirror show), but there are certainly parts I do not really want to see again (not tv, but using as an illustration).  Also very much why Twin Peaks was so appealing to me, with it's very dark and often comedic side).  So may look into once tv is hooked up in my new living arrangement.

Black Mirror is part black comedy/ dramedy, but mostly I'd call it a sort of dystopian sci-fi (some episodes are not al all sci-fi) anthology series. Every episode is different, and it can be watched in any order. Some of it is quite light, some can very dark. If do get Netflix, then maybe read the synopsis before choosing which episode might intrigue you. Inside No. 9, which is only a half hour per episode, is a black comedy/dramedy anthology series that might be up your alley. It's a very mixed bag since it is an anthology series (think Twilight Zone etc.) and the two writers/ main performers have dealt with different genres. The 12 Day of Christine was heart-wrenching, A Quiet Night In was fun if a bit gory. Some are quite horrific, some are very funny, some combine both. It's much more comedy than Black Mirror and is by the same people who made The League of Gentlemen (more Brits will know that) and Psychoville. And yes, that's the same reason why Twin Peas appealed to me so much (it can be downright delightful), as well as something like Fargo (the TV series is brilliant). Anyway, there is so much good stuff out there to watch.and with so mnay streaming services it's much easier to see a plethora of shows. I was using Britbox for a while amonsgt others such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, one in Canada called Crave with HBO and Showtime.... Sometimes I feel like there's too much out there, and it becomes hard to choose one, and sometimes it'slike I can't find anything that I want to watch (other than the Newsand various documentary-type programs).

Growing up I loved Carl Sagan's Cosmos and loved watching the Neil deGrasse Tyson Cosmos series with my kids (especially with my son who is very science-oriented and prefers non-fiction).
