Yes "Close to The Edge" vs Genesis "Supper's Ready" vs Jethro Tull "Thick As A Brick Part Parts 1 & 2"

Which track is the superior, ultimate prog eipc? GO!

1. Yes - Close to The Edge
I'm unsure about my preference between Genesis - Supper's Ready and Jethro Tull - Thick As A Brick 1 & 2 but I think I would lean towards Jethro Tull.

However, if we are talking about the ultimate prog epic, then it would have to be A Plague Of Lighthouse Keepers.

It'll get a few votes, though I don't think it'll win.

It's a close call between CTTE and SR, but I've gone for CTTE for being a more cohesive song rather than SR which is basically different songs stuck together.

If anyone is not getting goose bumps in anticipation of the apocalypse section when listening to SR, then you are basically dead.
Close To The Edge - nothing wrong with it and the playing is great , but there is no apocalypse section
TAAB - ditto CTTE

Could not have described it better! Clap
Supper's Ready is about as brilliant as it gets, I honestly doubt there is anything in the progressive rock genre that tops what Genesis did.

CTTE and Supper are both brilliant......as much as I like CTTE, I'll go for Supper.
One does nothing yet nothing is left undone.

Tull
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Again, Supper's Ready.
Levitating downwards,
atomic feedback scream.

Supper’s Ready
Porg for short. My love of music doesn't end with prog! Feel free to discuss all sorts of music with me. Odds are I'll give it a chance if I haven't already! :)
