And in keeping with the subject at hand, it's just a matter of time before you see my 2 star review of Peggy's Leg....ugh

Uh-oh! Only 2 stars!? You're probably already aware that I gave Peggy's Leg a leg-up with a full 5-star rating. Wink

Yes we saw that!! (we had to assess the band for PF, when I saw they had been entered by another genre team.

As much as 2Star is maybe a little too low, your 5Star is way too high IMHO

Ken is much closer to its real value, IMHO.

the numbingly bad and unsubtle lyrics alone would do it in, but the music is pretty pedestrian as well

I missed the endless arguments about prog during my month-long holiday on the island of Hiatus. That's all part of the fun of being here. Smile

Good to see that the news of your demise via a vicious Yorkshire pudding was premature.

That would have to be a very big Yorkshire pudding to swallow me up whole. Smile I'm alive and kicking and all ready to rock & roll with prog polls and album reviews. Thanks for all of your kind comments and for keeping us all entertained with your offbeat humour on this blog and elsewhere. It's much appreciated. Heart

Thin Lizzy's awesome as is. No need to be prog.

I think the island of Hernia might be just off the coast of Ireland - which used to be known as Hibernia in ancient times. Smile

Come back when you're younger!!! Wink

Yes I really am 60, James, and I'm flattered that you thought I was a lot younger than that. I guess I must come across as being younger in the forums, although that can't be a bad thing. I was born in the year of '59 - the best year ever to be born for a music lover like me. Smile

Clearly you've never tried my Yorkshire pudding.

Paul is, I think round about the Yorkshire region, but I had Monty Python's blancmange in mind when I wrote that. Said blancmages turned English people into Scotsmen, and Scotsmen and haggis go together like the Welsh and phlegm. Phlegm, by the way, is a Welsh-born artist based in Sheffield, which brings me back to Yorskshire.

Here's a recent picture of me to prove that I really am alive and kickin'  at 60 and that I haven't been swallowed up by a huge Yorkshire pudding, although we don't see that many Yorkshire puddings down here anyway in Nottingham in the East Midlands. Smile

Naah, you´re not old at all! Even my oldest brother is one year older than you! And I am just a boy... BTW really good looking strat you have (just like Buddy Holly), is it Fender? I have Tokai-strat, but it´s totally pale blue.

Some of my friends say I dress very flamboyantly for a 60-year-old. Who me!?? I wonder what gave them that idea. Tongue

Thanks! It's not easy to run in those gold boots with 4-inch heels, especially when you're hurrying across a busy zebra crossing to beat the traffic. Smile
