Thanks Gentle and Giant. It means a lot to me seeing the tremendous amount of support and goodwill from you and all of my other good friends here, and it's great to be back. I would have come back earlier if I'd seen your thread before today and realised how much everyone here had missed me, even those who disagree with me on politics. Wink

Its great to have you back Paul. I wish you could have answered your e-mails as we were worried about you. Perhaps we'll send you smoke signals next time, it more low tech.

All the best, SG

Thanks Steve. Your kind words mean a lot to me, especially coming from a friend on the opposite side of the political fence, so to speak. WinkHeart

Your politics I can live with. Deep Feeling from 1971? That's another matter. LOL

But you already know my particular speciality is reviewing long-lost British album classics from the early 1970's era.  Wink

Very nice what happened in this thread: confronting each other, worrying about Psychelic Paul first and then worrying about each other (A hug to Greg). I don't know Paul but he seems young to me, and whoever says that when a person suddenly appears on a site and floods him with dozens of messages every day he often disappears as suddenly as he had arrived. Maybe instead he simply had problems with the computer. Who knows, but he's young, I think, so I'm not worried about his health.

We are having a difficult time all over the world. I live in Milan, I'm locked in the house...

Do you know since when? Since February 24, two months have now passed.

Here in Lombardy after the first cases of covid, in mid-February, we closed everything slowly, now I can only walk up to 200 meters around my house and for the rest apart from shopping I have to write a justification to go anywhere by car or with the bus. The Northern Italy lockdown was the first in Europe and will be the last to end ... in the early days of May. Italy is the only European country that will not reopen schools in May. I teach and from 24 February I do online teaching, and I will return to teach in September, for this year we will not take exams, pupils will all be promoted. Lombardy, like Madrid or the city of New York is a real nightmare. From May I will start going out a little more.

I write on progarchives almost always in the late evening, from midnight to 2,30 (sometimes until 4!) in the morning, when my partner sleeps, it is a way to let off steam, to distract me. For several days especially in February and March, the fear of getting infected was such when I left the house to do shopping that I was too anxious even in the evening to unplug my brain and get distracted, so I was often absent from progarchives. When I came I saw the dozens of posts by Paul and sometimes I asked myself: but how much time does it spend here? Does not study? Not working? I thought so with envy, I would love to spend all my time listening to music, watching movies, reading books and writing. Slowly I had to get used to this life and find a way to continue living by keeping fear in check, and so I started to distract myself and I went back here to writing reviews and new posts on the forum....

And I'm glad to find ourselves here while the world is in lockdown and to know that many of you here are concerned about writing a private message to Paul and worrying about each other and exchanging the emails.

I would like to hug all of you.

Lorenzo

My emai is in my profile, [email protected]

I believe Paul is 60 at least, so he has said. I agree he seems younger.
Hugs to you as well!

You're absolutely right. I'm 60 not out, and if I happen to die this year from the Chinese Virus, at least I can say I had a good innings. Tongue

Yeah he wasn't on here long, but no denying he made an impact. I loved/love his energy. I hope to see him back some day but if not, that's life sometimes.
Thanks James. It's time to Rock & Roll again, and you're right, I do have one very close female fan on here, and you can probably guess who she is too. Wink

Yes, I was held to ransom and my kidnappers finally received the case of toilet rolls they were demanding for my release. Tongue

Uh-oh! Only 2 stars!? You're probably already aware that I gave Peggy's Leg a leg-up with a full 5-star rating. Wink

Yes we saw that!! (we had to assess the band for PF, when I saw they had been entered by another genre team.

As much as 2Star is maybe a little too low, your 5Star is way too high IMHO

Ken is much closer to its real value, IMHO.
