Larks, but narrowly prefer Starless to either.

A close call. I pick Red. Neither are my favourite KC albums, but both are better than Starless.

It's a tough question, really.
Red is kind of unique in KC catalogue because I could enjoy in most circumstances. I put it on many times while  stuck in the traffic, waiting in the line, going for a walk or shopping groceries, and I DID enjoy it - at least Side A. Larks' Tongues in Aspic is the opposite: I'd like to have it on my headphones while completely alone, Saturday morning preferably, to hear all the nuances and idiosyncracies of the opening track and "The Talking Drum".

While Larks' have jaw dropping potential, it's much easier to get into Red and enjoy it on a daily basis. For this reason I'm willing to vote Red, today.
