Odd, I just happen to watch the movie/documentary on the "Festival Express".  A train tour through Canada which had the Grateful Dead, Joplin, Buddy Guy, The Band and others including the Flying Burrito Brothers.  Enjoyed the film.

One band in the film on the train that interested me was Mashmakhan.

last couple of days have been light .

Inkubus sukkubus-- Belladonna and Aconite ( amazing soaring female vocals .some of the best melodic gothic rock I've heard .)
Brad Feidel-- Terminator 2 score. ( pretty cool use of the prophet 10 synth and the Fairlight CMI. Such a great soundtrack. Genius work. )
YES-- Fragile (MFSL) I cannot believe the bass on this record . Squire is the man .period
Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

Okay, now I'm interested. I haven't listened to any of their albums between Exile and Some Girls...must remedy that.
I also haven't listened to any of their albums after Undercover...not sure if I'll ever remedy that.Tongue

Like Jim and Tom mentioned, I also think it is a great listen.  It sort of has a different vibe than than their other LPs to me.  Moments of almost dreamy/stoner type songs, Dancing With Mr. D and Can You Hear the Music (love both of those).  Some very typical Stones stuff is there too, Silver Train, Heartbreaker, and Star Star (aka known as Star F-bomber LOL).  Tad of funk is there too.

Oh, Jim drinking music is very apt, always had a honky tonk bar sound thing going with them  Smile

alright . The kid is asleep . :)

Dream Theater-- Distance Over Time ( With Vocals...not Vokills :)
Okay. LaBrie sings his heart out on this record. I have to say I prefer DOT with the vocals unlike Black clouds...silver linings , whereby the instrumental disc reigned far superior . Anyway. This is a great album through and through . And if I may speak more positively I really appreciate the far more organic and natural sound DT have on this record. Jimmy T. Meslin did a f**king amazing job getting the band to sound more natural .Mangini's drum sound is way better and less processed sounding as found in past albums . This is DT's best engineered album since Falling Into Infinity (1997) . I really appreciate how highly listenable this album is cause I struggle to find a lot of modern recordings I can tolerate, but then again thats what a guy like. Me gets like when being so stuck in the 80's . lol .

Zappa - One Size Fits All
Zappa - Apostophe
ELO - On the Third Day
Stones - It's Only Rock and Roll

Some great stuff on that Stones album, esp "Time Waits for No One" went down well today.  I've always only loved 60s Stones, but it appears I need to reassess the 70s. It's better than I remembered, at least when you're in the mood for some good pool-shooting  music.
