Today?
Poor music off my parents clock radio. Vapid samey dreary saccharine castrated muzak. When Celine Dion then kickstarted the Titanic I felt like jumping out the window to scream a bit on the lawn. I am taking my medicin now consisting of John Coltrane and some nuts. |

The Invention of Knowledge - Anderson/Stolt - it flows over you somewhat, but very pleasant and nice to see Jon with his vocal cords back.

Some really cool albums listed in here. You guys have good taste.
How are you getting on with jazz bar the rock part of the equation Samuel? I spot two albums there that fit the description. Today up until now: Cervello - Melos Area - Crac! Steve Hauschildt - Strands (can't believe I overlooked this album! Ambient done right) Unreal City - Frammenti Notturno (the instrumental workput during the latter part of the first track is just mesmerising. I love the way the synths and electronics suddenly start doing this almost avantguardish jazzy interplay that sounds like it's being played by a beautiful drunk lunatic. Still don't get the sing-along type singing, but then again what do I know. I seem to be in the minority on this one as most other new releases feature that same kind of 'adult-contemporary' singing. I don't think it fits prog music though tbh. Maybe an Eros Ramazotti release.) Now halfway through Pescado Rabioso's Artaud ![]() |

Nice selections, dudes! Definitely along the lines of the stuff I've been into lately, though today I was in a strictly ass kicking mood it seems: Deep Purple - Made In Japan Judas Priest - British Steel Judas Priest - Defenders of the Faith Ted Nugent - Ted Nugent Molly Hatchet - Beatin' The Odds Molly Hatchet - Take No Prisoners

^ Best album I found in the 1€ bin ;) I definitely should get more from them. Made in Japan is amazing too!
Yesterday: Franz Ferdinand - Live in Paris 2017 King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Polygondwanaland Steve Hauschildt - Strands (Very good indeed!) Agusa - s/t (It's lovely but I liked the live album more, it's more dynamic.) Fire! Orchestra - Enter (Awesome as always.) Peter Baumann - Repeat Repeat (Numan meets Moroder meets Schlager :P) Hawkwind - Levitation

Yeah that Melos is a real humdinger! Gotta love those Italians.
I've got a thing for those old school RPI bands that favoured rawk and woodwinds over keyboards. Osanna, Biglietto per L'Inferno, Procession (debut only though) and Rocky's Filj. |
