Today, yesterday and tomorrow ;)
...boy I tell ya gents it's getting more and more a pain in the ass to post on PA these days. f**king ridiculous. Not much more I can take. Site Admin better get this security hang up fixed or I am posting once a year. Not kidding. f**k!

Anyway my fine fellow progheads. Here's my Euphoric 3 day listening bender. :)

APP-- Pyramid
Joy Division-- Heart & Soul (disc 3&4)
Riverside-- Second Life Syndrome
Killing Joke-- Pandemonium
Fear Factory-- Archetype
Queen-- 2 ( god this album has aged well with me. )
Queen-- Night At The Opera ( my All time favourite Queen album. It's perfect. )
Queen-- Sheer Heart Attack ( my #2)
Opeth-- BlackWater Park
Grayceon-- The Grand Show ( it's a grower. Great electric cello sound. )
Rush-- Signals
Agalloch-- The Mantle
Savatage-- Gutter Ballet
Unreal City-- Il Paese del Tramonto (the emotion. Just beautiful. )
Airbag-- Disconnected
Fates Warning-- Parallels
Pink Floyd-- The Endless River
Devin Townsend Project-- Live At the Royal Albert Hall
Tears for fears-- Songs from the big chair
Headspace-- All that you fear is gone
IQ-- Dark Matter

Today's spin cycle...and I don't mean my dirty laundry. ;)

Savatage-- Gutter Ballet. ( agh I just had to spin it again. And Paul o'neil was such a great music producer. Jon Oliva sings his ass off on 'When the Crowds are gone.' Just wait for that 3:05 marker of the track. Takes it to another level. ;)
Killing Joke-- Live at the Hammetsmith Apollo
Andy Jackson-- Signal To noise (24/96k)
Fear Factory- the industrialist
Ministry-- live in Toronto (1986)
Front Line Assembly-- Millenium ( fans of Devin Townsend gotta hear this one. )
Agalloch-- Ashes against the Grain
Locanda Della fate-- Forse le Lucciole...
Panic room-- Incarnate
Saviour Machine-- 2

Hey!! PA posts are working like a champ now!! I'm so glad not to be asked if I'm a f**king robot, however if I listen to enough Fear Factory I'll believe everyone is regardless.

Happy posting gents!

It had been almost exactly a year since I last listened to that one. I used to hate it, magically started loving it yesterday! Indeed, very disturbing. The title track goes through so many different phases, from erotic whispers, to deafening sledgehammer sounds, to helicopters, and so much more - pure mayhem! Great album.

^ It was that drastic? I'll give it another spin, at least now I know what to expect.

Yesterday:
Tangerine Dream - Force Majeure
Hedersleben - Orbit
10000 Russos - Distress, Distress
Rui Veloso - Ar de Rock (I never noticed it's quite Prog related: it has the same rhythmic section as José Cid's "10000 Anos Depois..." and António Pinho from Banda do Casaco produced the album and wrote a few lyrics.)
Yes - Tales From Topographic Oceans (This time I heard it in one sitting... well four, since I had to flip the records. It's easier since I now know the best side comes after the worst (The Remembering is not really memorable).)
Neu! - Neu!

Experimental music day.

Siouxie & the banshees-- Peepshow. (Absolutely brilliant. Will captivate even the Prog purist. )
Sepultura-- Roots (the true rise of South American metal)
Knifeworld-- The Unraveling. ( serious voc-kills plague this album, however some tracks do pose some very interesting arrangements with in a psychedelic pop realm of things. )
Skinny Puppy-- Too Dark Park. ( keys and Orge are at their noise gremlin best. ;)
Queen-- sheer heart attack
Marillion-- Misplaced Childhood
Porcupine tree-- lightbulb Sun (24/96k = ethereal SQ)
Savatage--Gutter Ballet ( horribly addicting for me right now. )
Soulfly-- Archangel ( brutal old school metal at its best! )

Hey Sam. There are not a lot of reviews up on Aryeon's The Source here on PA, so of course I'd appreciate your brief opinion of it. I've kind of put off buying it cause I'm worried "the source" won't top his last record, which I feel may be The Ayreon project's ultimate peak.

^ I heard it at work (like every other Ayreon album) so there's not much I can say. I don't listen to Prog Metal much but Ayreon always has so much genre/mood/vocal diversity that I always find easy to get through these double albums. This new album is no exception and this track particularly caught my attention:

^ Hey Sam. Thanks man. Sounds like the track starts to pick up nicely with a heavier steam with about a minute thirty-seven left on the track.
I like that LaBrie is featured on the album, but I don't know if I'm still quite sold on buying the album. Maybe I will one day be in the mood for it, but I still get this feeling I'm hearing nothing exciting or different from Mr. Luccassen.

^ Probably not the best pick for you, I think the song only has a nice progression towards the end Tongue
I guess he found his formula and is sticking with it.

Dr. Space - Alien Planet Trip Vol.1
Auroris - Outpost
Stone Dead - Good Boys
The Grand Astoria - Punkadelia Supreme

They recently played a few concerts to celebrate its 20th anniversary and it got a reissue.

Hey Sam. I have the reissue. It's absolutely great. A really wonderful remix, but I love the original more. Their is also a terrific live album disc that signifys Moonspell's mastery of playing this album live all over Europe.
I also really love the 'Radio edit' of opium. It's a tad more accessible with the use of Ribero's 'Clean Vocals.'
A nice switch. Anyway. Glad you like this one. Viva la Portugal!!! ;)

Today's top priorities.

Black Sabbath-- Never Say Die!
Headspace-- Pattern Recognition
Marillion-- Different Stages (the Highlights reissue)
Roger Waters-- Amused To Death (24/96k. Man, I can't wait for his next one. )
Jon Oliva's Pain-- Global Warning
The Devin Townsend Project-- Bio Mech: Ocean Machine
APP-- Vulture Culture.
