Being a huge fan of the Soviet cartoons and some Soviet movies, I think it'd be interesting for some of the uninitiated visitors to watch them.

Here is, by the way, the very New Year's Soviet funny claymation extravaganza. You can turn the English subtitles below the video. Great music, too.

I can't say I'm familiar with any Soviet cartoons, but my favourite Russian thing ever has to be Captain Pronin.

Watch and be amazed...

Vinni Pukh is superior than the american version (Winnie the Pooh)!

One of my favourite short films is Butterfly:

This is how an unpolitical topic is being slowly degraded into... well...
They say, it is not illegal to make topics like this. So, why not? Prog stands for innovations, after all.

Here's the Soviet Alice, btw.

Actually I was also going to create topics Soviet Music and Soviet WWII Songs, but I have decided to wait a little... Smile It'd be too much for one day.

However, here is the cult cartoon for all Soviet children. Bremen Musicians, not a spoken word, only songs and music. English or French subtitles can be turned on.

Evil Smile oh fun...

blame Trump... or blame those that voted for him ... not us... for the world and internet disruption. Most with functional brains still have yet to grasp how we've acutally elected a President who (among other things) scammed customers of their money through a fraudulent college..

so yeah... you have to forgive our continued shock to the system of the stupidity of 49% of America LOLWink

We all know nobody here elected him President!!......Russia elected him, they pushed all the buttons and intercepted all the mailed in ballots, replaced them with new sealed ballots. Just like what happened to Steven Wright, when he came home someone stole all his furniture and replaced it with exact replicas....Sh*t happens man, seriously!

Thumbs Up they're all crooked of course.. I just prefer mine to have experience... an experienced one is a GOOD one. One that is good enough to be crooked and yet still accomplish something.  The Presidency is no place for learning on  the job how to transform from being merely crooked, racist and sexist to being a crooked racist sexist politician LOL

Well I have not a clue what an "experienced politician" is, also not sure ever seen the qualifications to be one, so its a moot point.
As long as you were born in the US, are 35yrs old and been here for 14 years as a resident you meet the qualifications to be President, so don't understand the beef?? Most of us meet the qualifications.....

Most people work for one company all their lives and never come close to becoming President/CEO of that company...not even close!
Presidents/CEOs are that because they have worked to that position in the business world, that's why companies hire away CEOs from other companies all the time.

You (will) never see any companies hiring a former US President to run their business(es), because they are not qualified to do that, other than being a professional politician, which I don't know what that is either.
Smile

Two different topics were in my plans. However, I have an urge to purg... sorry, to at least create the topic about Soviet WWII songs. I think, I must give info on something nation-specific, not just talking about music in general.Smile

Go for it, I'd really find that of interest. I've had a bit of a passion on the Great Patriotic War myself since I was old enough to push counters around old Avalon HIll bookcase games and read Ballentine novels, my family came to the states turn of last century from the Ukrainian-Polish border. Not to toot my own horn but am a in demand researcher on the subject.  Spent the last two years making a detailed study of the Red Army in 1941 for a game company.

oh yeah... Beer for not getting upset about yesterday. You would have been right to have been haha.  I was  the main culprit so an apology is in order for f**king with your thread and going all political on it.
