Neo = Leo only remove the "L" and replace with "knee" . (Do you want to know how to pronounce "knee"?)
Prog is and always was pronounced "pwog".

I've actually heard at least one person pronounce prog rock as "progue" rock. It was kind of weird. Then again I've also heard people say "metal prog."
