Thanks a ton, Tom! To be honest, those two names do not really ring a bell and that I see they played with Robert Wyatt, I'm extremely happy to check them out. Again, thank you very much, brother, your recommendations are always appreciated. |

Plenty of RPI first-spins for me today:
Celeste - Principe di Un Giorno I Giganti - Terra In Bocca Biglietto Per l'Inferno - S/T Garybaldi - Nuda Garybaldi - Astrolabio My favourite so far would have to be either Biglietto, if not for the ending track alone, or Nuda, though there were some absolutely breathtaking moments near the end of the Celeste one. Still to go in my playlist: Il Baricentro - Sconcerto Corte Dei Miracoli - S/T

Yesterday:
Universal Totem Orchestra - The Magus Finnished this long album finally. It's all nice zeuhl, though a bit to agressive for my tastes. Sometimes this is not all that far from gentler types of death metal with its riffery and gothic metal with choir work. Very ambitious and well composed, though! Magma - Kobaia Without the last track, I think. This is a very different album and I kind of wish Magma could at least sometimes come back to that type of acoustic passages like on this one... Or do I? Today: Il Balleto Di Bronzo - YS Thanks for another excellent recommendation, José. This is very good music. In a way, it reminded me of Osanna from yesterday. The heavier parts here close resemble those of Osanna. These guys, however, have one more amazing feature - this amazing, classic Hammond sound. Once again, thank you very much! Last Crack - Burning Time (Interesting progressive/alternative metal with a bit of funk)
Acid Reign - Moshkinstein (It's thrash ready for the mosh pits as the title suggests \m/) Acid King - III (Slow, dark, sludgy doom metal dirges. Just how I like it) Sadus - Elements of Anger (Amazing tech thrash with godly bass work, I think Tom may like this one ) |

Yesterday:
Except for the previously listed Il Balleto Di Bronzo, I have also listened to Peter Frohmader's Nekropolis' Nekropolis 2, which, for me, is out of this world. This is something to be heard - although it is very involving, it still does leave you a lot of space to contemplate (a bit like Rothko's paintings), which is something I value highly in music, dunno how about others. Today: Le Orme - Collage Beginning my very first Le Orme listenings with their second album (the first one I will listen to a bit later). This is very nice. I like this organ-bass-drums structure, which suprisingly does not sound derivate. In fact, I've found it quite exploratory. The opening is killer. Very enjoyable! |
