There must be a story behind that, the same way the opening to "The Rain Song" is reminiscent of "Something" (by The Beatles), which also has a story behind that.

I guess I screwed that up by using the term technical, which I just figured out is synonymous with death metal. I meant it just as regular metal with technical features, like time changes and complex rhythms. Apparently, I was misinformed.
