My friend who loves early psych-albums showed me Dungen a while back. I was impressed!! A great new take on psych!
One of my all-time favorites for those special times has to be The Yes Album. Starship Trooper is perfect for those special times, with those great lyrics, great writing, and great musicianship. It really soars high above

Surprised as well... In the good ol' days of the forum, anything mentioning drug use would have been locked (and possibly hidden) in a heartbeat.

Man, I go to sleep for a few hours and everyone gets really pissy.
I'm going to go hang out on Prog Polls. Maybe the folks there are less cranky.

Yeah! You folks need to blow a few doobs and mellow out. Humorously enough, all the albums that have been referred to, particularly the ones from the 60s and 70s, featured bands that were stoned out of their minds. Or drunk. Or both. At one time or another. The immortal words of Jim Morrison bear repeating here: "This is the best part of the trip. The best part. I really like."

On a fateful day in 1981, we had just gotten back from the record store and fixed a pot of tea and a big pan of Puerto Rican-style nachos.
As finishing the nachos, we decided to spin our latest purchase, "My Life in the Bush of Ghosts." We couldn't believe what we were hearing. The next day we had to spin it again to verify that the album was as weird as it seemed. Indeed it was, and from that day on we understood the dangers of listening to freshly released groundbreaking music after tea and nachos.

Some of us haven't moved on from it and are doing just fine thankyou. I personally don't listen to music when high I prefer watching sports or comedies on TV. Still I love the green, it helps me sleep and I like how I feel after smoking it. I work two jobs for about 11 hours a day 5 days a week but get weekends off and both jobs especially the 8 hour one is very demanding physically. I'm in great shape for my age, no gut, and I still get girls looking at me at 54 and you too can be like me by smoking weed daily. Yeah that was embarrassing. And great post Hugues who frequented my area when he lived in Ontario, we may have even crossed paths at some point.

to paraphrase the man himself.. General Thomas 'Stonewall' Jackson I love Pot— its taste and its effects — and that is just the reason why I never smoke it. |
