Glad to have Iván back.
And Raff/Micky, for that matter.

Oh yes, I miss Tuxon too.

Well, like Holden Caulfield said at the end of Catcher In The Rye (quoting from memory): in the end you start missing everybody LOL

wow Guigo. Ruben Chamberry!!!  That is a blast from the past.  I really liked him and enjoyed talking to him.

I do often what happened to Chus (Jesus) who was one of my prime hit men and overall tough guys when we did the Art Rock split. What a sweetheart. I know he went missing from here during the student protests in Venezuela all those years ago.  Anyone heard from him?

Yes, Chus! I found a Jesus Brea there in FB (Venezuelan, lawyer). I sent him a private message.

Can you imagine a forum with 2 South American lawyers? LOL

I do have to say. The one I really miss most is Assaf. He was a walking encyclopedia of not just prog... but prog he knew fit the person he was talking to.

Somehow, someway he knew my tastes, what I liked and didn't and always gave good suggestions based on that and I know I wasn't the only one. I never got a bad suggestion from him.  It is great to see the old gang coming back together but that circle would remain broken until he returned, I am sure I am not the only one that liked and respected him greatly, but I don't think he will.  I think Raff has had some contact with him and real life, work, and a family seem to have taken all of his time and energy.

perhaps some day.

E, Great to see you on here.  It's weird, but I felt very honored that you fb'ed me when you were taking your leave.  I've enjoyed keeping in touch.

Henry was a hoot as well, Snow Dog too, a lot of people have gone on.

I'm surprised no one mentioned Jody (The Progtologist if I remember correctly).  I haven't seen him in ages.

Someone was asking about why people fade from PA.  I can say this, I took a break for about a year and a half myself, for me there was just a general disengagement from a lot of the things that I had enjoyed.  There was a lot of personal strife going on in my life and music in general just didn't have a lot of the same magic that it had had throughout the previous forty years of my life.  It was mostly related to things that had nothing to do with music, but still, sometimes the death of one passion can have an ancilary effect on your other passions.

Awfully nice of you to say that, Tom. There were a couple of times in the interim where I'd come back and try to interact in the listening room, but got no responses. Perhaps my prideful little nose was bent out of shape and walked away.

Although nothing can be done about it, I sure do miss Antoine. What a devastating loss. Such a kind soul.

I'M BACK

Just suggested a new artist.

Iván

What's up, Ivan? Good to be back in the same room as you and HT. We'd be up talking all things prog on iChat and what bands were to be included in the neo room. You and HT arguing the legitimacy of Kansas, and me arguing with both of you the relevancy of Marillion (Hogarth era). Big smile

Yeah, I really miss him too and his endless barrage of recommendations. He sent me things that I would never have sought out on my own and opened my eyes to a lot of great music. Now the Ian's (Carss and Beabout) have taken over that role.

Yes....I believe they may be gone now, if I remember correctly, so maybe he will come back.

There were a couple I remembered but then I think one of them mainly runs around the MMA hallways.
I was gonna say The T but I have seen an occasional post from him.....1 page back as a matter of fact Big smile

Yeah, but I haven't seen every thread. Hey, variety is what makes the world go 'round. That and good coffee.

lets see if I got that right unlike Eric LOL

Yes, now that she has morphed into super reviewer and we get all kinds of promos I count now on Raff, who naturally knows my tastes better than anyone to guide me.  However I do plan on leaning on Ian K. to help me navigate the current avant scene. I was turned on.. ALMOST to DSO proportions by seeing and hearing Alec K Redfern and Eyesores for the first time. AMAZING AMAZING and AMAZING!

I have been a good neo boy since you've come back.

You can trust me LOL

Then again, there have been no Neo bands come up yet in the PA's tourny yet,  both of those Neo bands kick off this weekend in the Lima and Rome brackets

Definitely..variety rules.. especially with good coffee
