I can't vote quite yet. :(  The classic prog era is only a childhood memory for me and I confess not to know well any albums from the year of my birth.  That said, I was born in the year of Atom heart Mother, which i have at least heard.
More heavy prog, please!

Exactly why we get the style of topic headers here as we do.Handshake

Would think down at Progressive Ears the median is rather older.

It killed it with a knife, in the library. It did it on midnight, hour of the crime... Then, at 2 o'clock, the ghost of prog arised and went to haunt the houses of New Wave and Heavy Metal for years and years and years...

It's no longer the punk I'm worried about, it's the metal.

simple answer: Punk rebelled against clever moozik (corporate suits aka record labels promoted this because prog bands were not easily fooled) and metal this I don't know, however because prog listeners are very presumptuous, unwelcoming and pompous, rap artists are making it big because they support each other and this is insane really.

Khan's Space Shanty was my year. Grew up just in time for the New-Wave fad.......when I found I didn't relate to it, not too satisfying musically, I definitely didn't fit in with the fashions and trends, a real ugly kid joe loner. Discovered w**d, then Prog.........
Still don't fit in, still go against the grain, still a loner, just older........and clear-headed (more so than back then....)

Yes, but not fusion, so won't work as a PA-specific age identifier .. theoretically speaking

For example, you know how to write things that make electronic computers do stuff.

I'm gonna have to change my vote in 11 months because I'll be too old to make this an accurate poll.
