No I don't please tell me LOL

Krigssang is much more relaxed, less heavy than that nuclear debut but for me just as enjoyable. My version includes a track called Murar which is maybe TK's best moment, I'm not sure all versions including the original album has that track and it's really a shame, though I may be confusing it with another track Ermm

You see I don't remember that at all. At least not them being less heavy. Anyway, the trouser thing: hard to put into words, but it's when you get some zing out of the equation - the track goes SWISHH and goes totally ballistic or perhaps the opposite.

Given that this thread has come up, anyone could suggest swedish albums/artists that sing in swedish instead of english. The ones I know are Hybris, the first 3 Kaipa albums, and Algarnas Tradgard. I know about the first Landberk album, though I can't find it available.

Kultivator! Dungen!, Pugh! (two first reccomended)...

+ Vildkaktus... infact a great progband not on PA. I only have Vindarnas Vagar from 1971. Folky jazz-prog with Yes-like harmonies.

Prog bands from Sweden reighn supreme -,I listen to many, but not all - always I think of Anekdoten, Landbertk, Anglagard Landberk, but Flower Kings are superb, and you can count Zheul as a separate entity to all this commotion ............

The Trettioåriga Kriget lyrics are mostly in Swedish and are very nice! Their lyricist Olle Thörnvall was originally a guitarist who suffered an accident just as the band was gaining momentum in the early 1970s. He stayed on for the duration, writing lyrics only.

The mighty Opeth. Anekdoten, Edge of Sanity, Meshuggah, Cult of Luna and others are also great.

I recorded this myself, POS with Daniel Gildenlow singing Hallelujah but the guy behind me obviously thought he could sing it better than Daniel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlcLep-8KRk

Well I'll have to check out POS - for some reason I haven't really listened to them (maybe because I'm an old fart). But here's a list of some Svenska bands I like (there are definitely more) in very rough order:

Samla Mammas Manna/Von Zamla/Lars Hollmer (RIP)
Änglagård
Älgarnas Trädgård
Mats Morgan Band
Isildurs Bane
Baby Grandmothers
Pär Lindh Project
International Harvester
Kultivator
Archimedes Badkar
Zut Un Feu Rouge
Katzen Kapell
Ensemble Nimbus
Trettioåriga Kriget
Fläsket Brinner
Life
Ablution
Trad, Gras Och Stenar
Bo Hansson
Anna Sjalv Tredje
Solarplexus
Garmarna

Tak!

Beardfish, hands down. (This seems to be a popular opinion, but I can understand why!) Mammoth was the first album that really got me got me into progressive metal or at least slightly heavier/more metal influenced prog. Before that, I never liked metal and the "heaviest" stuff I listened to was probably hard rock bands like AC/DC and Deep Purple (not to say that hard rock and prog metal are heavy in the same way, but you get what I mean). I also really love their earlier stuff and have been listening the hell out of Sleeping in Traffic parts 1 and 2 this autumn. (Other Swedish bands I like include for example Änglagård and Kaipa, and I really really enjoyed Opeth's newest album!)

That said, a LOT of great prog bands come from Sweden and I'm not familiar with nearly as many of them as I should be! I must definitely acquaint myself with some of the bands mentioned in this thread.

Very nice list there (probably because you have so many of my own faves included) i did however forget to mention Anna Själv Tredie. That album is a real gem. Without a doubt my fave Scandinavian prog electronic record.

I have to hear the first one yet. This was my first experience with this artist and it gave me some goosebumps.
