I fear you may be right. I predict now the various websites selling the tickets all crash within minutes and the Internet is flooded with people complaining that they couldn't get tickets

You can guarantee FleaBay will go into overdrive with all the chancers who bought tickets to make a quick buck, too

I think on the whole Kate would prefer cash Andy.
I was slightly surprised to turn my phone on and find an alert from Songkick to say that Kate Bush was touring. Yeah right. Still, better check BBC News just in case.

I do agree with your sentiments though Andy. I shall be sitting at my laptop at 09:30 on Wednesday, credit card in one hand, Stanley knife in the other.

Yeah, I bet, although I'm the legitate vendors of these tickets will also be charging the earth for them. I may be wrong - I hope so - but no one should realistically expect any change from £150 per ticket imo.

I think the top prices are £139 or thereabouts. Kate is the only artist I would pay this kind of money for, but maybe I should go for some of the lower priced ones. Basically I'm just going to go for whatever I can get, not holding out that much hope even with an advance sale code.

Oh yes, I have an advance sale code for Wednesday. Probably me and half a million others.

Apparently she's going to be playing The Ninth Wave as part of the show - now I really really need to get tickets. It may have to be  both b*ll*cks now.

I hope we don't have to pay in advance. I have a feeling I'm just building myself up for a massive disappointment here.

Apparently since I signed up with her website a few years ago I could get a first shot at tickets along with all other members. But yeah, still that seems unlikely especially since I'm poor and live a few thousand miles away.

Anyway, It would be a little hilarious if she closed the whole series with "Get Out of My House."

So that's 15 x 2500 which is about 37,500 if my maths is right. That would be about an audience of only half of Wembley Stadium over 15 nights. She chose to play there as its easily accessible from where she lives which is Oxfordshire I think.  I will happily go to any of the gigs but will probably have to settle for a DVD if it is filmed which I presume it will be. You just know that she will rope in Dave Gilmour to do a show or two.

Probably not coming to NorCal either. Lemmy is, though.

How about if she dug out the original 'Babooshka' costume then?

Mind you, she is 50 now...

Her 'Homeground' fan mag has announced that it is publishing a two-volume anthology containing the best of the publication's features on her: http://www.progrockmag.com/news/kate-bush-fan-site-to-publish-anthologies/:

"Homeground, affiliated with the KateBushNews.com website, has been following her career since 1982, and the anthology covers her musical output from Wuthering Heights to 50 Words For Snow. It comes with an introduction by actor and fan Guy Pearce.

Peter and Krys Fitzgerald-Morris and Dave Cross explain in their preface: “We need to make it clear what this book is not: it is not a definitive book about Kate Bush, her life and music.

“It is principally an anthology of what appeared in 30 years of issues of HomeGround. The question was whether we followed a HomeGround chronology or something rather more logical; so we followed a Kate chronology, dividing material from the magazine into three parts covering the first 35 years of her career.”

The first section covers events which took place before the magazine was launched. The second details Bush’s career in the 1980s and the third looks at her withdrawal from the public eye while continuing to make music.

The editors say: “We noted with some surprise the now professional artists, musicians, singers and performers we first knew as fellow Kate fans. Also the now doctors, and academics we first met at Kate conventions, and the now parents and grandparents we first met up on Haworth Moor or on Glastonbury Tor. We thought it would be a good idea to invite some of our long term readers to write down what being a Kate fan had meant to them over the years, and their recollections appear with ours.

“What has surprised us in the making of this book was actually how much good artwork we had. Two of our principal contributors, Steven Brown and Paulina Stuckey, have gone on to become
 professional artists and illustrators.”

The HomeGround anthologies go on sale next month – visit http://katebushnews.com/ for full details.
