Sorry for this off-topic, i am just here because i've been thinking of posting this band to PA for months and still can't do that because i can't find words or don't have time. So i'll just leave it here in case anyone else likes it as i do. This is one of my favorites, though they stopped playing in 2004 and only have a couple of LPs.

The name of the band in the Grand Silent System and no one knows anything about them, but they are beautiful. Please check them out. There are not a lot of videos on youtube and i have no idea where to find their CDs - i bought them five years ago. But here's itunes.

I am just writing this because i love them and would love to share this with people who will understand.

love,
Marjana

Hey Marjana you should post this in Suggest New Bands and Artists instead.

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Will listen to them!  Oh, and ignore those that are picky about the rules.  They're really a bunch of softies.

Thank you, guys :)
I actually looked through the forum rules and found an email to submit a band, but i realized that i can't even write a brief review about them which was required at the very first question. Speaking about music in not my strongest part, sorry :(

Yeah, the submission process is rather archaic, in my opinion.  It's so much better to be able to explain the band a little bit.  You could always send a private message to a collaborator, and they could send the submission to whomever needs to see and hear it Smile.  That way, you could explain them a bit, too.

No need to be sorry. I know that it's difficult to write about music. Maybe somebody can make a review for you. Smile

I'm checking The Grand Silent System out now and think I can write a suggestion on the forum. I believe Crossover Prog is right where that band should be.

You realize the submission thread can be more than just a slew of links and a band name? You can discuss the band there to an extent.
But telling the team that they should add a band just based on your opinion isn't quite how it works.

Yeah.  I know.  It's called conversation.  It's vastly apparent that many people around here can't grasp such a concept.

Someone mentioned iamthemorning in a thread about a month ago, I'd never heard of them so I googled and found the band camp site.

Very nice music, I liked what I heard. And generally I like metal \m/

I liked it enough that I posted some on another guitar forum that I frequent, and a few people there really liked it as well. Hopefully we will get the word out. Like someone else said in a previous post ^ 'good music is good music'.

If that doesn't work, let me know and I will ask the crossover prog team to make the changes.

You can get the albums here: iamthemorningband.bandcamp.com
It's not actually prog, but we try to make music beautiful and not trivial. I'm not the best person to speak about it, though, so just try to listen :) female vocals, piano, strings and some rock. but just a bit.

It's Crossover Prog. It's basically classical music in the 3 to 4 minute range with vocals and some intermissions. Also of course all of the above. The emotions that comes to mind are beautiful and maybe a little sad, especially considering some of the lyrics. It's a good example of good modern music. IAMTHEMORNING
