Nahh, but that Don Bradshaw Leather cover is pretty freaky too.
I can see the image myself, but let's just post it one more time eh

How about the infamous Hairway to Steven?

Oh and this is still in the prog lounge, so the surfers aren't welcome here monsieur NetherlandsTongue

Maybe I should just post a link to one of those cover art polls I did a little while back...

The covers in this thread may be qualified as strange, but I'd like to call most of them just distasteful.

Sorry, there is no prize. This is only for fun.  Please stick to groups listed on PA.  Also, strange is open to interpretation so you can have fun with it.

Ah, PA groups only - that narrows it down and helps filter out the distasteful, thank goodness.

I guess you can add Strange - Distasteful to my list of Strange subcategories.

Hi,

I don't think that any cover is that bad, or strange.

What I find it strange is folks at PA in a "progressive" board, and they immediately go for a thread that has the favorite guitarist or group! To me, that is stranger than ruth or any fiction out there!
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

John Zorn has a strange taste for record covers amon them the rather morbid photos of Joel Peter Witkin:

Naked City Grand Guignol album cover

Naked City : Grand Guignol

Naked City Radio album cover

Naked City : Radio

Naked City : same

Naked City Leng Tche album cover

Naked City : Leng Tch'e
(form of former Chinese capital punishment by slow slicing)
