Finished FC3: Blood Dragon. Very funny game, and fun besides, but loses itself a bit when you're not laughing at its jokes. After you get through all the funny enemy comments, one-liners, and so on, all that's left is a very, very easy shooter. It's actually sorta hard to die unintentionally when playing on the highest difficulty (Hard). I can only imagine what Easy does to you. Still, it's worth the time to play, for sure, because it's goddamn hilarious. Had me laughing out loud for hours.

It's likely that I won't even buy a next gen machine, at least not now. My xbox is basically a Netflix/Youtube machine but I'm cancelling my gold subscription so I might as well just trade it in for a PS3 at a reduced price.

I'm currently addicted to Borderlands and Saints Row The Third. I got both for about $20 on an Amazon/Steam sale.

SR the Third pissed me off so much. After SR 1 and 2(which I REALLY liked and played alot),it felt like an incomplete game. The level of customization actually decreased,Steelport is boring,no dynamic day/night cycle, etc. There was a ton of DLC for it that should have been included in the actual game.IMO it was a rushed, unfinished game by a company going bankrupt and it showed. I saw a trailer for the 4th game(I forget who bought the rights to the SR franchise)and it looks even worse. While I got to give them a bit of credit for continuing with the whackiness of the past games,it looks just too ridiculous.Like Prototype or Infamous crossed with SR.

I never played the first two SR games, so I have nothing to compare it to, other than GTA. Honestly, though, I've been playing nothing but Borderlands for the past few days. Almost, finished, though.
EDIT: Speaking of which, I almost was through with a mission (which involved four huge, fairly hard bosses, no less) and the game crashes before I can get to a save point. Holy hell I'm pissed right now. Edited by MillsLayne - June 03 2013 at 05:02 |

I've been playing a bit of that with a couple of friends. Really fun silly multiplayer as a pink berserker. No idea how it scales down. Got Call of Juarez Gunslinger having not played anything else in the series - really interesting to see a Bastion-influenced wild west FPS - engaging little game for £12ish. Went through Alpha Protocol again and saw some things I hadn't yet seen on about the fourth playthrough - game with genuine depth in your choices, even if sometimes getting those choices requires an almost pedantically precise set of decisions (so, if you want to go after Surkov, you can't normally go to the vault in the Brayko mansion unless your tech skill is ridiculously high). |

I'm addicted to SKYRIM at the moment. There's so much to explore, it's incredible. I love the setting and you can really customize your character.

I got Last of Us as well. So far i love it, damn Clickers make me want to kill myself.
Also there was a great deal that got me Red Dead Redemption (w/ Zombie Pack), Arkham City(With Harley DLC and other content), and Deus Ex Machina: Revolution for $40. |

Well its by Naughty Dog, and I pretty much worship them after the Uncharted Series (so brilliant) and I couldnt believe the reviews Last of Us was getting.
And thus far, yeah it's amazing |

I never played Uncharted
I love them for the Jak & Daxter series. I'm 3 hours in (bout to boot up the ps3 again) and 25% through it. I just got to the roofs near the Capitol Building right after having to navigate through the slanted building filled with Clickers.

So, PS4 doesn't need to be online and doesn't block used games.

My friend told me that he already beat The Last Of Us. Took him about 13 hours or so, meaning this will be a rental for me probably.

...poor soul Sounds like its a short game, not surprised...I pretty much hate multiplayer because 90% of the time it just sucks, but even games with good multiplayer, it has killed single player. Even games with great campaign modes are short now. online just has killed campaign mode forever While they were nothing more than go forward and kill em all games...God of War at least had LONG campaign modes. They dont make em like that anymore. But last of us is pretty dope. Reminds me of splinter cell...with zombies. So many nerve wracking moments! Or this one part where I got caught and in total darkness I was just meleeing like a madman, took out 2 zombies and a clicker in the blind frenzy |

Games have become incredibly expensive. Those pretty views take a truckload of labor. MP doesn't take all the development time, believe me.
KH3 and FF15 are both multi-platform titles, confirmed for both PS4 and Xbone. Speaking of which, I've been playing FF14 ARR beta. Anyone interested in MMOs should have a look come open beta (some time in August before full release on the 27th). It's pretty derivative, but it is very polished and very pretty. Looks pretty much like it did in 1.0, but runs vastly more smoothly and plays very solidly. Still tab-target stuff, but combat is much more engaging, though it's pretty slow going at low levels before you get a decent repertoire of skills. Edited by Gamemako - June 16 2013 at 17:53 |
