The 2012 NFL thread

Kinda like the whole "this country is better than this one" and "this country sucks" cities are cities.
I havn't been to one I didn't personally like: NYC, Philly, Boston, Baltimore, Chicago, Toronto, Pittsburgh. It's about the people, ya know? And finding the places/things to do.
Granted, it's non debate NYC is the best city on Earth but that can't be helped

I didn't think the first game was all that bad. No classic for sure, but not a snoozefest like this second one.

Ponder really hasn't been bad, he hasn't been good but not bad. He just...doesn't do much.
May be the most limited passing game in the NFL. He IS experienced though, which Webb was not. I don't see how they woulda won anyway, Packers actually managed to stop AP so yeah, they were toast.

He IS old and has had 2 straight, progressively worse, injuries. I think he's sincere about it, and pulled the Jerome Bettis card of declaring it during the season so the team can rally around him.
Pretty good idea, long as you're liked! When Tiki tried it I think secretly many of the Giants just said "good" and didn't try much harder at all.
Edit: Especially if Ray has an honest assessment of his current talent. It'd much less shameful to retire, then either being cut or playing terribly. Age catches everyone.


After mulling over which team I'd prefer, I'm going Ravens. The other northeast team I can tolerate (sorry Jets I tried)
And though I didn't go to Rutgers the allure of ray rice even has me gripped

Well, valiant effort from the Colts but they were never the better team.
Flacco finally got something going. He is painful to watch generally, and is kinda lucky that one floater Boldin nabbed between defenders but it was enough. Congrats to the Ravens.


IDK what you want man. You'll go back to a Ravens game from 1998 and pick out a play in the 3rd quarter 5:40 left when Ray Lewis got a gift of a pick that was a joke blah blah blah blah but god forbid the same is done to your stillers?
