All of them have "strong personalities", but I will have to vote Wilson, because:

Uncle Bob is retired (so are Ian and Roger)
Uncle Frank R.I.P. is no longer with us
I don't appreciate Emerson, Vander and Morse all that much, and I seriously dislike Hammill 
I don't know who Toby Driver is

There was an interview for the 40th anniversary of CTTE lately, in which Bruford talked a bit about Jon's approach. In a nutshell, it was: Either you take my songs, no matter how awful they are, and make something good out of them, or you come up with better songs.

As a matter of fact the way you explain Jon's aproach doesn't sound bad at all.


I, too, think that proved to be a good aproach. Much the same as Waters' for The Wall I think. The other members, and Ezrin, have testified how "excrutiating" the demos were to listen to, but together they managed to make a rather brilliant dubble album out of them.

Yup! This is news to me too.

Sorry my bad, I thought the latest conflict between the two led to Barre's dismissal by Anderson. But no they just parted ways in the meantime. That's why TAAB2 wasn't a JT album. Thanks.

Literally impossible to say - at the moment I'm on a bit of a Morse bender - maybe next week could be Hammill, perhaps Vander..........but Morse it is.  Such an incredible talent, and fun to watch him perform as well. But he is one of many..........
