Who's your favourite person, which is almost the exclusive author of all songs, overshadowing all the other band members and imprinting his unmistakable face to his bands or projects?

Very good question and a difficult one to answer.

I'll not vote as I don't know much about vander, or Toby Driver, but out of the others I tempted to say Fripp. He strikes me as being the very heart of KC in terms of the approach to making the music they did. I get the impression it was Fripps philosophy to making music that underpinned the bands writing.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Yes, I feel that I may seem ridiculous to someone, but I adore only one God and the King together - and this is Robert Fripp.Clap

Vander's my favorite, but I think the "strongest personality" in the sense of egomaniacal control over the music would have to be Frankie Zappa, or possibly his wife.

I think Fripp, but Waters and Anderson are very close, can you imagine them in the same band with Emerson keyboardist?
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Peter Gabriel, I'd say.
No, that's not true. Tony Banks could never be dominated.
Fripp then. Yes, I'll vote for Fripp.
Or Jon Anderson? Yes, I think Anderson is the man. Peter Banks and Tony Kaye have bitten the dust with him.
Or no, even better: Ritchie Blackmore. It wasn't easy for people being in one band with him.
Well, I'll vote other.

Ian Anderson is Jethro Tull and God help anyone who disagrees with him.

Why are you even asking when there are too many egos in the same group?

Right now, Fripp or Hammill.
Since Hammill has less votes, I'll help him climb.

Quoted for truth, although I'd like to vote for Miles Davis, but somehow that wouldn't be fair even if he is on PA...

Fripp.

But Wilson had no votes, so I gave one to him.

Now that I'm reading the title of the thread carefully, I'm definitely gonna take more time to think about it.

Now, how did Ian get four votes? Who started all this talk of whether or not the size of the flute matters? Does that constitute a great personality?

How's that? I thought it was Roger who put the "dick" in the "dicktator".
