God damn it!
Ugghh....well it was a good game. Giants were the better overall team, could've won fairly easily but shot themselves too many times.
WAY conservative on critical plays, failing to convert on big plays, and the penalties! Sheesh...a 3rd and 10 converted and taken away by a hold. Jesus Christ. In a tight game you can't commit that many penalties.
The Tynes missed FG as well.

f**k. Another very possible win they cost themselves. Time for angry sleep

It's still very frustrating watching the skins. More system than skill but that's the job of a coaching staff.
Built the perfect scheme for RG3 and he runs it well, Morris is a great zone block runner. Just f**k.

And naturally the schedule is set up for another near collapse...leaving the Giants 2 games to get their sh*t straight or die in painful misery. Sigh...they never ever make it easy for themselves, why start now? LOL

Well, let's see how long it lasts. Either RG3 develops over the coming years, or slowly fades into oblivion. Whack offenses in the NFL never work out long term but maybe this time is the time it maintains...eventually it's gotta stick.

Again, comparing an RB's return as opposed to a QB's return is hard because they're two very different positions.  But, any time a QB is gone for a whole year, his competitive career is over.  Apparently not the case for Peyton, who looks like he never missed a beat.  To play QB the way he has this year is much more impressive because his position is much more demanding, at least mentally.  That's not a knock on AP, it's just a fact.  To be gone a whole year, you lose that speed to process decisions and execute effectively, and he hasn't lost it.  Yeah, he has a better team around him than AP does, but that doesn't mean he's a better player than Peyton.

I seem to remember Brady coming back from a year long injury and going to 2 Superbowls. I seem to remember McNabb coming back from a year long injury and going to a NFC championship game.

Did they do it at Manning's age?  No.  His career should've been over.

Are you going to keep adding caveats?

Yeah I used to think that made sense, but I can't justify it anymore. You're only how you play. If you shoot yourself in the foot, then that's a flaw in your team. Redskins were better.

The Giants are a head scractching conundrum....Confused.  Although its been that kind of a season, last week or two this team looks awesome, the next week or two someone else does.

I still think the Giants will take the division but they certainly aren't giving themselves breathing room, and have some tough teams coming up.  I actually still think they'll win the NFC championship as well.

I think the Niners have a chance of winning the NFC, but the Giants are certainly close.

Something good to read about.

(I still hope he plays poorly this week since I'm up against him!)  LOL

Equality, you are right about Manning but you forget how beloved he is by those who vote on MVP.  The Broncos went to the playoffs without a QB last year so they had the core to be good to begin with.

Oh they deserved to win, and of course they were better. I still think the Giants played better overall, remember....7 of the Skins points came from that fumble play. It was 100% legit and sh*t happens, but still that was a whacky play. I guess it's semantics debating over "true skill" but yeah, in the end the better team won. I also love the new school of the NFL is really the old school. All this running, with QB options, 3 or 4 in the backfield going all over the place...its like the 40s!

Besides mistakes...gah the play calling! How the hell does Gilbride get so aggressive but then throw it so short of third downs. I mean there was no gap between the wideouts and defense to make anything happen. At least the run game was really good and Eli seems to have ironed out the slump.

I think he's like (1b) for MVP. I'm a Manning lover, but I'm also reasonable.

I actually thought Peyton's MVPs were justified and not just drooling over him. The Colts were very dependent on him, especially that lame defense that only worked with a lead...and the team got worse over the years. By the end he was dragging them to success. Remember how we all said they'd have 4 wins without him? They only managed 2!

But yeah the Broncos are a good team, and he's just performing as we'd expect. Im not big into awards but they're always fun. Right now comeback has to be Peterson. He's in the running for MVP as well, (too soon to call that one).
My rookie of the year is leaning towards Luck, for how much he has to do, but RG3 is good and Russell Wilson is a stud!

If I feel nerdy enough, and have time, I may make my personal pro bowl again. Better than the crappy ones but I can't really judge o lines or the secondaries. I dont have THAT much time Cry

Using the logic of your first paragraph you should be saying Andrew Luck for MVP, not just ROY.  I mean, he's leading the same Indy team, that's gotten worse over the years, you described Peyton as having to drag to success.

Not sure if you're just pointing that out or mocking me but yeah, that's a very fair point. Luck could be seriously considered in the running for MVP
Aren't we all a bit shocked? I know I am, some success was expected but I never thought this much.
And playoffs? PLAYOFFS!? I would've laughed if you said they'd be in the hunt.

And nothing against RG3 and Wilson, but they are in very managed systems. Luck is averaging 42 attempts a game, on pace for 670... or third all time! Point being they are asking a ton of that kid, depending how the Colts finish and he plays, I'd say he's a contenda!

Anywho, some great teams ahead but the Packers just aren't quite the same. The Redskins still have no one outside of RG3, the Saints and Falcons are the most worrisome....

Hey dude,

Big time congrats on beating the Packers, you guys clowned them!   Big game between my Skins & your Giants on
Monday nite.  I am shocked the Redskins won on Thanksgiving, but again the Cowboys are decimated by injuries.

Redskins match up well against you guys.  It should be a good game.

I believe the Skins still have a very poor pass defense (441 from Romo). Last game you played us we were in a slump, so we'll see. As MWH and I have been saying, it's the Giants....we can lose this game 44-3. Then come back and shutout the Saints. LOL

And I feel less impressed with the Falcons every week. I'm saying it now, this schedule isn't as bad as it seems. SB run #3? WinkLOL

Wassup Skippy????

How ya doin?   Are you any more worried about my Redskins now?Wink  We are one game back, and my buddy who is a big Saint's fan sez N.O. is gonna bring you to 6 losses!

Big smile  Big smile  Big smile

Shocking as it may be, if the Skins can beat a weak road team(Baltimore) this Sunday, your guys could be in some trouble...

Gotta love RGIII.  What a great young man.Cool

You seem to have ignored my later posts where I already answered the question am I worried now:
Nah not really.
I won't go broken record but we'll see what RG3 does (or what the team lets him do). If he starts to develop then I'm pretty scared. If they keep with the college offense, well that will fade eventually and RG3 becomes another phenom bust. Sorry for the reality checkTongue

Uh, no offense to your Saints bud but that's not really earth shatteringLOL
If I had to guess, I'd say....7% of Giants fans expect a win. Many may say we have a chance (naturally) but few expect a win, and I'm in that group. Nothing about our team adds up to beating the Saints. And yeah, of course you can beat Baltimore, they are borderline terrible.
Oh and we were the lesser team, but you do realize a made FG (which Tynes very often makes) = a Skins loss? Or if that fumble didn't bounce in a lucky way (it happens I know) maybe you have 4, or 7 less points? I mean sheesh, be happy and proud RG3 is already in the HoF and the Skins have 7 SBs right?

That's all on the field of course. Griffin seems like a mature, down to earth and wonderful kid. Very natural, there seems to be no pre tensions about him.
That's not why he's paid but yeah he's a good dude.

heh...soo despite leading them on 2 successful drives that spared life into the Jets....Greg McElroy is back to the #3 man...behind Sanchez who no one has faith in, and Tebow who was shredded by a dozen Jets in the paper....brilliant as always gang green.

Rooting for the Bengals and Ravens big time, as well as the Eagles over the Buccs (wanna see every potential wild card team lose). Ugh.....Giants. You just have to put yourself in these loony situations. Cry
Anyway its in the 40s and rainy, I doubt this will impact Brees and co much, especially with our crap defense, but they are out of their comfy dome, any possible advantage is needed. I really dread this N'orlans gameLOL

Adrian Peterson is a beast.

Can't wait to see Brees make the Giants look small.  Approve

Evidently, "Little Giant" is a brand of ladders.  Who knew?
